Terlingua Creek Porch House ist ein zweieinhalb Schlafzimmer, zwei Badezimmer Ferienhaus mit Blick auf Terlingua Creek. Günstig in der Nähe der Autobahn 170 in Terlingua gelegen, mit einer Veranda mit Blick auf einen von Federn gespeisten Abschnitt des Terlingua Creek. Dieses komfortable und komfortable Haus ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für alle Abenteuer in Terlingua und Big Bend.

Das Haus verfügt über ein eigenes Esszimmer, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, ein Wohnzimmer, zwei Badezimmer und zweieinhalb Schlafzimmer. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein eigenes Bad mit einer geräumigen Dusche. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten. Es gibt auch einen halbprivaten Raum, der mit dem Wohnzimmer verbunden ist und über ein Doppelbett und einen kleinen Schreibtisch verfügt. Mit einem Queen- und drei Twin-Betten bietet das Creek House Platz für fünf Personen.

Überdachte Veranda mit Blick auf den Creek: Das charakteristische Merkmal dieses Urlaubsausflugs ist die geräumige, überdachte Veranda mit Blick auf einen Quellenabschnitt des Terlingua Creek. Wasser ist selten in der Wüste, aber immer unter unserer Veranda. Im echten Terlingua-Stil befindet sich auch eine kleine, bewegliche Bar auf der Veranda.

Feuerstelle: Sternenhimmel und Morgenkaffee genießen Sie am besten neben unserer felsigen Feuerstelle. Bringen Sie unbedingt Feuerholz mit. Kleine Bündel Brennholz können Sie im nahe gelegenen Cottonwood General Store erwerben.

Perfect location

Perfect location for all the trails we did. You don’t need to bring anything with you. Kitchen has everything you would ever need. Even though it was hot in the evening we still built our camp fire.

Terlingua Creek Porch House

Excellent location - convenient to Big Bend & Terlingua. Access via a nursery and "retired vehicle" storage lot - however very quiet. Very comfortable beds, lots of towels, large covered patio for enjoying evenings. Hosts were responsive to questions and provided for easy checkin/checkout process.

Terlingua Creek Porch House Stay

Very peaceful location. The porch is amazing with beautiful sunsets and a great fire pit. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, even more so now since I forgot my favorite spatulas. Ha! Will definitely stay again.

Great budget option

This was a good place for us to stay and I’d stay there again given the same circumstances. There are some rough edges and differed maintenance that would be good to do but if you are ok with a place that isn’t perfect then feel comfortable booking.

The house was clean, well -equipped, and the plumbing worked! Two bathrooms was a bonus for 4 senior brothers. The location was perfect for hiking in Big Bend and visiting friends' graves in the Terlingua Ghost Town Cemetery.

Great visit

The Creek house was exactly as listed. The porch alone is worth the stay with great views of Terlingua Creek. We enjoyed evenings with the fire pit and sky views. Exactly what we need in the desert, nothing fancy but comfortable and easy access to BBNP.

This home is a gem. We arrived pretty worn out from the long drive and truthfully we weren't expecting anything special, but this place was definitely a surprise. It has a charm that is unique, it was very clean and so well stocked with everything you'd need for a comfortable vacation stay. There is ample space, four comfortable beds and two bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as beautiful propane bbq pit right on the back patio. There is an HD smart T.V. and very good wifi, but spotty cell reception in the area (which is a small sacrifice for such serenity) The porch house was absolutely perfect, and as the name suggests, the porch, which is basically a huge covered patio overlooking Terilingua creek, is amazing! The veiw is so beautiful and omg the stars at night were the best I've seen in my life. This is the perfect spot for a family to stay who wants to enjoy Big Bend, but still stay somewhere comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Great place for access to Big Bend

The location of the Terlingua Creek Porch House is perfect for access to Big Bend NP. The bed rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. A big plus was that necessary items such as detergent, paper towels, soaps, shampoos, and even coffee, sugar, and creamer were provided. The porch facing the creek is beautiful but it was just too cold to take advantage of it. When we come back to Big Bend we will definitely check on the availability of the Porch House.

Porch House is Great

This was our second time at the Porch House. Came for the Cook-off and also had a great time with family on the porch overlooking Terlingua Creek. House was clean and perfect for 5 adults. There is a nice kitchen and 2 full baths. There is also a grill on the porch that invites you to cook out. We didn't as our time was limited and we wanted to visit several spots while in Terlingua.

Great house in great location

Loved the location of the house. It was just a couple of miles from the Terlingua Ghost Town (where there are several great places to eat) and the businesses that provide Big Bend tours. Also just a few miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park.

Perfect basecamp for Big Bend Natl Park and surrounding area

The Porch House was just what we needed as a basecamp to explore Big Bend. We were comfortable, and the property owners were communicative and provided a lot of information beforehand. The house is not "fancy" - in keeping with Terlingua - but we enjoyed dinner on the fabulous porch and were comfortable here. It is very close to Far Flung Outdoor Center, a couple of restaurants, and of course the edge of BBNP. Night skies are amazing, and it was a quiet environment every night, even with La Kiva and a little live music across the creek.

Overall, the place was ok. We did have an ant problem which in the desert can be. Contacted Daryl and he sent someone over. But it didn't take care of the problem. We finally got some spray and sprayed the front area where they were coming in. Also you could tell there had been a problem. Upon further investagation, we found dead ants in corners of other parts of the house. So that tells me the floors weren't swept before we arrived. Beware tho, there are window units for AC. The one in the living room was extremely noisy. The kitchen was very well equiped with dishes, pans etc. Not much for spices except for salt & pepper. If you need plastic wrap, aluminum foil, bring some. It isn't provided. The deck was nice and enjoyed sitting out there eating breakfast. Even when it got dark, you could watch & gaze at the stars. I did let Daryl know my complaints, so this review shouldn't be new to him. Overall as a family, we discussed the whole situation and said we would stay again.

Perfect for our little adventurers

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is a bit dated inside, but beds were clean and comfy, the kitchen had all we needed, and the creek was really enjoyable. My 7yr thought it was a perfect spot for us. My husband and i enjoyed the porch overlooking the creek and the stars at night.
