The house is very adorable, spacious, and great decorating. It had everything my family needed in there; everyone had their own bedroom, there was enough bathrooms no one had to wait, and the kitchen was very nice with a table to eat at.
The WiFi was a bit spotty at times. And there is no A/C, and it got hot! I don't do well with heat, which is why we go north for summer vacations. I did not feel safe keeping the downstairs windows open at night and we had to watch the temps outside to open the windows upstairs at night. Which lead to two other issues, one not all the window locks work. And two, we were woken up 5 out of the 7 mornings from people yelling. I can sleep through birds and sleep through the trains, but not people yelling at each other. There were plenty of times I was sitting in the house sweating, even with a fan on.
The location was out last favorite part and put a damper on the vacation. It's not so much that there was a tent city within a block of the house, but with people yelling and swearing right outside our house, we didn't feel safe. We didn't feel safe to go on a walk, or use the bus stops (that seemed to be where most of the yelling came from). We were enjoying one morning in the cute side yard and someone was screaming at someone else. We had to pull the kids inside so they didn't hear the arguing and swearing between two adults.
We would like to visit Thunder Bay again, but next time a better neighborhood and one with A/C.
