Place is great for kids, with lots of activities and close to the beach. Most of the staff are very friendly, but usually only one working in the reception which can mean long waiting times. The place definitely needs to do better on cleanliness, one of the bed mattresses had blood stains. There are no fans or air conditioning so if you’re going during the heat prepare to be really hot and sweaty during the night. All in all the kids loved it and had a great time do it made it worth it despite the downsides :)

Great family friendly stay
Lovely stay, front desk staff very sweet and helpful. Beautiful grounds and rural setting, comfortable beds. Pretty beach, cute town nearby. Excellent price for the area add $15 pp for linens and towels. Would definitely stay again.

Charming facility near gorgeous beaches
We enjoyed a relaxing stay with our two children (age 7 and 12) in a family room with loft. The room was clean and we rented linens and towels. The stairs to loft were quite steep, but our 12 year old was happy to stay up there. Staff was very helpful. Our kids loved visiting the rabbit and goats. We did not try the breakfast (we slept in) but made use of communal refrigerator and kitchen area. Private shower in room was very simple but adequate. Wifi worked well. Good storage space too. Overall good value for price and we would stay there again.

Charming holiday village style place. The cabin was pretty comfortable, but there were a few ants that were wandering around a bit. Location was just perfect at a nice strolling distance from the village and the sea. The staff were so nice and made us feel so welcome. Good breakfast (recommend the grød!) Had a lovely few days.

Unfriendly management - very low grade of service
Upon arrival, we expected a double bed as stated in the room specification, which was not to be the case. Your site for this location says following: "1 double, 1 single, and 1 sofa bed." Unfortunately, the reality proved to be 3 single beds and 1 sofa bed. We specifically asked for one double bed, and although the sofa bed could unfold to become a very uncomfortable "double" bed, the product and our wishes did not match what your site specifies for this room. Since the listed 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed are the one and same item, we did not get what we paid for. Most interesting was that the management of Sankt Helene started to argue about these indisputable facts and blamed it all on Hotel.com when confronted with the discrepancies. A separate complaint for this issue is submitted directly to you in another e-mail. The breakfast is another story, only served from 8:00 - 9:30 on a Sunday! And at a price of 80,- DKK per guest; quite expensive for a simple breakfast buffet. In addition, the kitchen personnel was non-existent when they were needed to supplement the buffet table, we had to track down the hotel management for them to locate the ones that should have been in the kitchen. A checkout time at 10:00 am is also not contributing to a place with great service, and we were not informed about the checkout time upon check-in the night before. Unfortunately, we will not be able to recommend these facilities.

Stedet ligger smukt og roligt. Jeg har været der flere gange og syntes at det fremstod slidt de sidste par gange, men nu er stedet ved at blive sat i stand og det kunne ses allerede ved ankomsten.
