This property was better than the APA we stayed at in Roppongi. Same size room (tiny), but didn't have that sewer gas smell. I did have to have the management come up and unclog the tub drain and install a new battery on the bidet. Fresh towels everyday, left on your door. There is a nice park just across the street, as well as a train station. The main Uano station is a two block walk.

Not impressed!
There's no individual room temperature control so I was roasting every night until I figured out how to open window, no screens on window so it's a good thing I was on 12th floor. Also fridge in room froze everything even on warmest temperature, not to mention there are no laundry facilities.

Great location right outside Ueno, room size ok for Tokyo. Plus was quiet night surprisingly. Nice views over park and pond. I've stayed here before. But a couple of annoyances- 1- paper cups instead of china cups in room to drink tea so I ended up buying a cup myself as I couldn't borrow one from the restaurant unfortunately, 2- no laundry facilities on site which is a mistake on Expedia so had to walk 15 minutes to do washing, 3- the amount of bags stored in reception floor is terrible and makes it very awkward and crowded. The QR code for bag storage is not user friendly and takes longer than just being given a tag number. I stayed in a lot of hotels in a 5 week holiday in Japan so a bit disappointed with APA this time.

The location is amazing. I have a view of Ueno park from my room. There is a lot to do within walking distance but it’s still quiet at night. No noise from adjacent rooms to be heard.
