We had an overall good stay. The lobby is beautiful and the maintenance of the hotel was sufficient. However, the heat in the small rooms that couldn’t be controlled on our end was a bit of a problem. It became very hot and even with the window that opened a little bit, we experienced dry throat and coughing. That should be looked into and was the only thing that made our stay negative. Also, the ironing table the use was not efficient for foreigners, a regular iron should be provided. Out clothes were with wrinkles and we were disappointed there were no other options except for this heating table (which didn’t iron the clothes at all). Would give it a rating of a B- and would consider returning during different seasons to avoid the heating issue.

This was the first time visiting Japan and the first hotel experience after a 19 hour flight. Staff turned their backs when we entered the lobby, like, "oh sht, now we have to help the foreigners" and didn't seem like they wanted to help during check-in. When I walked up to the "desk", the woman pointed to the self serve check in kiosk and left me to figure it out. When I got to the "add another person staying with you" screen, I added my girlfriends name, and everything after that was in her name. We became Mr. and Mrs. her last name. Very small, budget room, good for one person, tight for two. Nowhere to open up your luggage except in front of the exit door, and that was one at a time, replacing it with the next suitcase. The tiny, camper/trailer style 'all-in-one' plastic bathroom had a horrendous hydrogen sulfide (sewer gas) smell, broken exhaust fan, stained privacy door, lots of steam which made the room super stuffy (you can not control the room temp - that is done by management), and when we showered, the entire floor got wet (yes, the curtain was on the inside of the tub). It seems like the shower wall and tub corners were not sealed, and water would run onto the floor. Bedding did not include a top sheet, just the duvet cover. The restaurant was more of a small night club, with loud live music the 4 nights we stayed. The neighborhood is nice and clean in an upscale area, but this hotel is not a good choice. We stayed at another APA hotel on the ending of our visit.

Nice property, very clean, well maintained. reasonable size room. Standard APA hotel. Location is a bit sketch - late night walk was a bit uncomfortable with lots of what looked like bouncers around the area, early morning walk would find many women hanging around the sidewalk. Noisy during night time - sirens mostly, audible even with the great insulated windows. middle of the day - neighborhood was pretty professionals with lots of ex pats. Hotel has huge lobby (relative to other APA I had stayed in) easy check in and out.

Still one of the best hotel chains in Japan
I love the public bath but wish that the other guests would be more considerate to preserve cleanliness. But this will not prevent me from staying at any of the APA hotels in the future!

Great option for visiting Tokyo for a good price. Nice neighborhood and some sightseeing in walkable distance such as Tokyo Tower or Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View, a Don Quijote ir a few blocks away. You can find some bars near the premises which means drunk people on Sunday mornings but nothing to worry about. Always felt safe in the premises and in the area. Rooms are tiny for occidental standards but you have to take in consideration this is Tokyo, one of the most heavily populated cities in the world. We had a great one actually, will recommend to friends and family.

Really good hotel!
APA was an amazing hotel for us when we stayed for 2 weeks. The bags to provide new cups, towels etc etc was overwhelming as it would be placed outside everyday and we werent sure if we had to put our dirty stuff outside. The bedroom got very hot on some nights and we had no way to change the air conditioner to cool from heat. Overall, it was an amazing hotel and my boyfriend really enjoyed the public baths.

For me it was too hot, with the hvac being building system driven and switched to heat it was warmer than I would prefer and having the window open was too loud. Overall an ok experience but for the cost I would stay in a different location/option from previous trips. Overall ok. Staff were great.
