clean convenient to ueno station/park
close to ueno station, so made it easy to walk to the subway and jr lines. clean, fast wifi , best of all there is no step up or down to get into the bathroom.

It was a comfortable distance from Ueno Park and train station, as well as Senso-ji temple in the other direction. Pleasant and friendly staff and a more-or-less ideal room for a solo traveller.

Location convenient but no other strengths
WiFi connection was lost several hours before checkout - very inconvenient. The room is tiny - a suitcase cannot be fully opened. Some staff members do not seem to be hospitable - when I asked for storing luggage ahead of check-in time, the staff member initially could not find my reservation and her attitude was quite haughty. She was later able to retrieve the booking (she overlooked it) with my earnest request - but she gave an impression of reluctance to help and I felt uncomfortable as a traveler.

The property is run down. The room was reasonably clean, but the walls were full of dents and marks. The staff were a mixed bag - some were polite and helpful, some less so. There was also a lot of noise - not from the train station, but from the street outside. I would not stay here again unless I absolutely had to be right next to Ueno station, and even then there might be better options.

The room was not very clean, but in a decent condition. Friendly staff, only a few blocks away from Ueno Station. It was very convenient for us to travel around Ueno, Asakusa, Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Shibuya.

The front desk staff was really nice and polite. That's so great that I placed order online and deliver to the hotel, the hotel kept my parcel for me. They handed over to me by the time i checked in. Room is comfortable and clean. Even there's a little duckie for bath. i was stafisfied with this hotel and definitely may come again.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Only minutes away from Ueno Station. It made it very easy to travel to different areas in Tokyo. The staff were very friendly.

Its ok for one night, otherwise it becomes uncomfortable very quickly. The pillow is full of hard beans which left me with a headache and waking up to feel like id been in a fist fight. It would be nice if they left clean towels outside the door on days when the room doesnt get cleaned rather than the guest having to go to reception and ask for them. One big problem was the fridge not being cold. It was literally unuseable, and maybe even dangerous. One night is fine.

Great property; close to ueno metro and convenient stores; cramped room size but shower/bathroom facilities fine; AC is a must in summer Tokyo and worked great; internet a bit spotty but recommend renting external wifi or download “external SIM card” as backup; great experience/stay for adventurous type; not for the 5-star crowd
