Above and beyond
From entry I felt a cozy sort of safe. The beautifly decorated entry had a burning fire place and a pool with clean clear water waiting to be used. The staff was knowledgable, polite, curtious, and genuine. The staff felt appreciated and wanted to be there. One even sparked up polite conversation during her break to see if she could help us navigate around the area. Amazingly... they had some construction going on. It was still clean, tidy, and quiet.

Beds were bad. Humped in the middle. Seems like since sleep is the main activity, the beds would be great. Hoping they are upgraded by our stay next year or we will stay somewhere else.

We have been staying at the Bayshore for over 30 years. It is our “Zen” place, usually in the off season in late fall and spring when TC is in a more quiet mode. We have never been unhappy w/our usual bayfront room, the facility itself or the staff. Thumbs up times ten. Our only complaint is not w/Bayshore but on some occasions, while eating the courtesy breakfast in the small “breakfast room”….some guests are quite loud. It is morning! And…..converse loudly in a group or feel compelled to converse w/others, several tables away, so the whole room can hear the conversation. Again, not the hotel’s fault…simply the cluelessness of some people. I noticed today that several people took their trays to areas of seating outside the breakfast room. We should have followed suit….but you think the conversation will end. It didn’t…on and on… Oh, and the woman, who was party to the loud, long conversation w/a man, about rehabbing kitchens…across the room, gladly helped herself, (after eating breakfast), w/stacks of yogurt and an ample supply of bananas. Was she feeding TC homeless? Really! You have no shame?

Great place, bad experience with noisy neighbors.
Management was great. Hotel ands pool and breakfast were very good. The bad, we ended up being woke up and kept up from 2 AM to 4 AM due to noisy guests in the adjoining room. I called Front desk, and they called and they ask them to quiet down, which they did but still talked too loudly until second call to front desk at 4:15 am. A manager called a couple days later and gave us 50% credit due to noisy guests that kept us up.
