Nice property, Christine at the front desk was very accomodating when we asked about a room in a specific area near an exit. Our Standard Queen room was a bit small, better suited for 1 person, but we made do for 1 night. Breakfast was great...a grill chef on site serving daily specials....we had the Monday burrito bowl. Also had an automatic pancake maker!... Would stay there again.

Jeniffer did a great job of checking us in. She was very nice to us and was smiling even though she was pretty busy late in the evening. She has very good customer service skills, which is hard to come by. Need to keep her around.

The Air conditioning did not work in our room. And there place was booked ski we couldn't get another room. The front desk person finally found us a fan So we could atleast sleep and told us there manager would compensate us. I called 3 times and never got a call back from the manager. But the staff was great!

When booking - it wasn’t clear that certain rooms were in a separate motel building We came to our room at 11 pm to find a 1 story room with a window open. Someone could have just climbed in the room at any point before we got there. The building is quite dated. The bed had minimal blankets and small pillows. This might be one of the worst places I’ve stayed in decades. Overall we felt unsafe and like we had ended up in an old motel painted like a hotel.

Walsenburg Oasis
Nice place to overnight near Walsenburg. Hotel staff gave us a list of restaurants that were open on Sunday. Nice touch. Fast food options near by as well.

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. there was a special of the day for breakfast, made to order, not the usual buffet. The walls are a little thin, but nothing that would keep you up at night. the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
