Great location, very clean and very quiet. Due to the locations room can be horribly positioned, as in your window will look into a wall and it's like you're in a basement. Definitely recommended if room will only be used for sleeping.

Very nice hotel for a city trip

Pros: Quiet hotel. Well equipped rooms. Good beds and shower. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Extra chair in bedroom and some english tv channels.
Location: The location is a little out of the centre but that is easily reached with bus line 4.
A small quiet hotel with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are well equipped with everything needed. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is quiet.

Good value for money

We were impressed with the Villacarlos especially as they had remembered our request made by email some time ago for a room on one of the higher floors with a street view. It is a budget hotel but would come top of the list as everything provided was of the highest quality. Shampoo, shower gel and soap are provided and replaced as they are used and the room is cleaned, tidied and towels replaced everyday. They do not provide a kettle and tea making facilities but we took a travel kettle and provided our own. There is a fridge in the room which proved very useful for keeping the milk fresh. Our package did not include breakfast but we had it everyday (at a cost of 8.10 euros if ordered in advance) as it was so good and set us up for the day. There a few restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Cerveceria Tapis which is just around the corner on the Carrer d'Eduard Bosca. The food was really tasty and economical and we liked it so much we went back a second night. We also ate at a Chinese restaurant called Tiananmen also close to the hotel (just off the Carrer de Josep Faus). The food was good and healthy but don't order all your courses at once - you'll get them all at once! Another night we caught a bus to the beach area (number 2) and ate at Pepitos. It seems to be a popular place but we didn't rate the food very highly. The hotel is well placed for walking into town - we did it every time - but it is too far to walk to the beach (however the buses are very frequent). We spent one of our days travelling to Sagunto by train where we walked up to the castle and Ampitheatre - well worth the visit. We loved Hotel Villacarlos and would definitely stay there again.

fantastic stay

Great place to stay in between the center of Valencia and the beach. Great area for walks and visiting the many and various bars/restaurants. Food excellent and drink very cheap compared to the UK. Only minor drawback was we had room overlooking busy main street, but that is luck of the draw.

Bien situé

Hotel bien situé, près du métro pour les transferts à l'aéroport et à 10/15 minutes à pied du centre-ville et de l'Oceanografic/Cuidat de Ciences. Accueil agréable et personnel très disponible pour toutes vos questions. Rien à dire non plus sur la propreté Bonne literie. En revanche pour la chambre c'est à pile ou face. La première qu'on nous a attribué (203) donnait sur une cour minuscule et toute grise avec vue sur tuyaux de chaufferie et il y faisait "nuit" 24h/24 (voir photos). Le personnel a été sympathique efficace quand on a voulu changer et nous a installé dans une autre chambre (201) beaucoup plus agréable. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est bien garni et varié (charcuterie, fromage, pâtisseries, fromage blanc avec noix et fruits secs variés, fruits frais, pain toasté) mais on trouve bien moins cher en extérieur.

A oublier

On dirait plutôt un Hostal (et pardon aux Hostals) qu'un Hôtel 3***. Le garage, 16 euros par nuit (prix excessif), est inabordable pour une grosse voiture. Personnellement avec ma voiture de 4'30 mètres j'ai transpiré pendant plus d'un quart d'heure pour pouvoir la parquer. L'Hôtel a oublié de facturer 2 nuits de parking et m'a contacté par téléphone. Honnêtement je n'ai pas trouvé cela très commercial mais j'ai payé sans autre. Toutefois, j'ai demandé le remboursement des frais bancaires, ce qui m'a été refusé. HOTEL A EFFACER RAPIDEMENT DE VOS OFFRES!!!!!

Gute Unterkunft für Kurztrip nach Valencia

Nach einigem Suchen haben wir das Hotel gefunden. Wir werden nett begrüßt und unser Zimmer war in Ordnung. Leider ging das Fenster auf einen kleinen Innenhof hinaus. Dadurch war es im Zimmer recht dunkel. Doch wir waren ja nur zum Schlafen dort. Sonst sind wir viel gelaufen, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Man kann zu Fuß die historische Innenstadt ebenso erreichen wie die Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias oder den Strand (ca. 30 bis 45 min). In der unmittelbaren Nähe des Hotels befinden sich auch mehrere Bushaltestellen. Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Valencia genossen.
