Although this is an older building and starting to show its age, it has been kept up well. The elevators are old and some are out of service, so the wait is longer. There is paint chipping and the bathrooms have not been updated. The bed was fantastic, the view from the 20th floor was beautiful and the room was very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which makes up for any of the issues. The Beyond Coffee cafe has exceptional Illy coffee! I was here for a medical appt at St. Paul's Hospital, you cant beat the location, as it's a 2 minute walk. Surrounded by many restaurants and cafes, pubs and bars all within walking distance. All in all a great experience and I would stay here again.

Bad experience

Went for a weekend stay with family. The whole experience wasn't a pleasant one. From parking, to check in experience, long waits for elevators, smelly corridors, old appliances, not functioning remotes to TV and AC. The restaurant in the lobby was the only good thing we found, with yummy breakfast options. Wont be a returning customer, the staffs were not polite.

Quite pleasant. Wonderful view of the city and mountains. Convenient location in downtown Vancouver. We wish the spa was working during our stay and the pool was a bit nicer but still recommend.

Winter visit in Vancouver

The hotel is conveniently located with a beautiful view. I was a bit worried about noise from the sirens as St. Paul Hospital was next door. It was actually not a big issue. I appreciated that there was an option for not using housekeeping as an environmentally friendly option. A 10-dollar voucher was provided for the Beyond Coffee each day. They had very nice Illy coffee and yummy croissants. I wished I was informed on check in that I would need to use the space heater provided to warm up the room.

The staff was very professional and cooperating. When we arrived the TV did not work, and the directions on the safe were for another device. I had to call for assistance, and the problems were resolved very fast and with competence. Our room was made up daily. After we left, we read the brochure on not having our room made up daily. In return, a $10 credit was offered to us, or we could donate the credit, with matching funds by the hotel to a responsible non profit. An admirable practice. I will return to this hotel when in Vancouver.
