It used to be Coast hotel and last time I stayed here it was pretty run down. The best western took it an renovated it is realtor nice now

Called ahead to confirm the airport shuttle could take 5 of us with snowboard bags to the airport in the morning. The driver shows up and tries to refuse to take us, saying his van wasn't large enough to accommodate our luggage. He had more than enough room to say the least, and after arguing with him for some time, he was gracious enough to let us pack our gear into the van ourselves, which had plenty of room leftover.

After not answering their phone for 10 min while i waited on the rain to be able to request their "complimentary shuttle" (plus another 10 min for it to arrive after that) , we arrived at the hotel to be told that all the "complimentary shuttles" for the morning between 4am and 7am were completely full and that they couldn't do anything to help us. I've never had an "airport" hotel that advertised free shuttles to the airport refuse to actually provide that service when needed. The room was also rundown. Even for a "worst western" this was bad.

This hotel needs an overhaul and a serious cleaning. Went through three rooms before I finally got one that didn’t have mould abatement being conducted (that was the first room - and I have photos), then a room that had the heat turned up to 90 degrees and a toilet that was completely clogged when I arrived. They didn’t have a plunger or cleaning staff to fix it, and told me that the room was listed as “clean”. They did give me a third room so that I could use the toilet. I travel every week throughout North America and I’m lucky, this was a first. Shocking to experience this in Vancouver.

Pleasant other than waiting fir shuttle bus

Had to wait for a 2nd shuttle bus, as the 1sr one was fill . When we called they said 15 m8n wait. By the time the 2nd bus came, it was 40 min of waiting! The rest of the stay was fine! The king size mattress was very comfortable!
