Great downtown stay
Great hotel in downtown Vancouver, walking distance to BC Place and the casino. Lots of dining options within walking distance, staff was very friendly, clean hotel

The property is fine and thats about it. The rooms are a bit dated and dark. The bed was comfy enough and the location is convenient although plenty sketchy. The parking is no good at all, not secure, not even locked overnight, it’s just open for anyone to walk right in there and judging by how many times they told me and how many signs there are saying DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN VEHICLE they’ve likely had some issues. I would probably stay again if need be but theres cleaner, more modern properties with safer parking in the same neighbourhood for roughly the same amount so, I’d probably check those first. The staff was nice although some lady popped up like a magic show with her clipboard asking me if I was checking out and from what room.. I was like ‘Lady, its 7:30am and I haven’t even had coffee yet, save those questions for a real human’

I'm always worried when the hotel asks for a damage deposit. I feel like asking "oh, what sort of clients do you have staying here?" The hotel is in a good area and provides a great room - suite in our case. The only downside is the fire station, it's about 300 yards away and they were called out 3 of the 3 nights we stayed. Typical North American screaming of sirens in the night. The staff were pleasant.

Dorm rooms priced at midluxury
Have stayed at the Rosedale many times. This was the most expensive and least enjoyable. It used to be that the Rosedale offered good value for money but the rooms now seem tired and the price was ridiculous. Maybe I am being picky here but for $350+ a night, I expect a pretty nice room, not a dorm room. This feels like a dorm room now.

The staff were great very friendly and accommodating. Area is perfect for concerts all is in walking distance. This beat the heck outta my last trip where I had to skytrain to the concert and back to the hotel.
