Lovely little family run hotel
A spotless and well run hotel with charming helpful staff. A magnificent breakfast served each day with optional scrambled egg and bacon cooked to order. Lots of pastries, fresh fruit, selection of yoghurts, sweet and savoury snacks and bread selection. We managed to get lost finding hotel most days - thank goodness for phones but en route from Rialto found lots of little shops, bridges coffee bars and boats. A daily adventure.

Nice, traditional hotel on a quiet square just a few mins walk from the Rialto Bridge and Grand Canal so a really good location. Easy to find, get the water bus/taxi to Rialto and walk from there. Comfortable room (not quite as gorgeous as the photos) but had a good bed, a nice bathroom and a lovely bakery across the road. And you're in Venice :-)

When reach in hotel reception we asked do have lift and receptionist said we don't have lift but lateron we found there is lift. First floor Rooms located for us lots stairs need to climbs with suitcases. I have knee problem and ny is also have clibming problem. One there is bad mattress and aircon did work properly. We booked classic rooms but they located for us bad than standard rooms. When asked those are not good and exchange room. Both rooms exchange again there is no central aircon, furnitures looks like 100 years old and walking shower is not good. Aircon fixed in wall and wall is not tidy and dust smelling. My self got Asthma and my wife is having lung disease. Kitchen and dinning areas on the rooms way. Early morning staffs making noise. Break fast is very bad. Staffs is face looks like rude and never smile. I have been lots holidays in Europe but never had this type bad experience. Expida needs to review this hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY AND YOUR EXPERIENCE -only positives were the location and the friendly housekeeping -the hotel is run down. The rooms smell and the AC barely works. The rooms are very small. All the staff have an attitude. They are not friendly -we had an issue where we were being taken advantage of and the employee at the front desk laughed in our face when we asked to speak to a manager. He then proceeded to yell at us and play stupid. Was saying we were ridiculous when we are complaining about an upcharge for the water taxi and said we could afford it. He would not give us his name no matter how many times we asked. I would not be surprised if the hotel has a partnership with the scammers of Venice and pocketing money out of it -construction nearby started at 5am and woke us up -the customer service was a 0. This hotel was an excuse of a 4 star hotel

Very nice stay. We had a room with a Queen and 2 twin beds. The 2 twin beds were really just cots but still pretty comfortable. The staff were lovely.

Authentic Venice Lodging
The Santa Marina is a classic Venice hotel, elegant and authentic. We enjoyed their private terrace for coffee. The location is good for nearby shops, restaurants and bars, however, many steps to negotiate if you have luggage & are utilizing the water bus system.
