I had called about an early check in and was told that 2 pm was no problem at all. We had a wedding we were in town for and needed fo get ready. We got there at 2:15 and told our room wasnt ready and maynot be tkll 3:30 amd had no other rooms available. We did wait and got in before but stressful worrying about it all

The room was clean, but the drain for the sink in the bathroom was partially disconnected and leaked onto the floor. TV was an older model, doesn’t allow for sign-in to streaming apps - not a big deal by any means but it’s nice to watch your own programming. Breakfast was good, biscuits and gravy always wins me over. Overall it was good stay.

Pros: Nice breakfast included with stay. Monday-Thursday complimentary wine and beer happy hour. Easy access to several restaurants and Walmart. Ice water in lobby, sometimes fruit and cookies as well. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Cons: First night kids running in hallway and people talking loudly outside our window until after midnight. After that noise not really a problem.

It’s a fine hotel. Not great, but fine. Horrible brown and orange carpet in the room we had, which did feel rather sticky. But other than that, the room seemed clean. I also hate that Holiday Inn Express doesn’t have real half and half for their morning coffee. Just the tiny cups of it, which are ridiculous.
