The hotel has lots of character, is cozy, romantic, and the service is great. The only downside was lack of a mini-fridge.

We greatly enjoyed this hotel. The staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel historic, cosy and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. Excellent location. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Beautiful property with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms are very noisy so if you are a difficult sleeper or like to keep your conversations private you will have a very difficult stay here. Elderly people with luggage will also have a difficult time if they are staying on the floors above ground level. some buildings do not have an elevator and there is no bell service to assist with bags.

If you are staying in Victoria you should stay at this hotel. Located in a leafy residential section of town but five-15 minute walk to everything. They provided and excellent list of restaurants near by which was very helpful and reliable. Best part was an amazing 3 course breakfast served in the breakfast room each morning and included in the reasonable rate. Super nice staff. Room was large and had everything you could need. At 4:30 every day you can go to the lobby for a warm hearty bowl of soup. Patrick our breakfast waiter even handed us a small snack to take as we left for the airport. The only negative was a few stairs to navigate and parking was very tight. But everything else was 10/10. And we had just arrived from the Wickanish Inn in Tofino which is a Relais and Chateau Hotel I. Tofino We were afraid it would be a let down. But it was not.

A charming hotel with friendly staff. Lots of small touches to make the stay very pleasant. The breakfasts were amazing each day. The afternoon snacks included different type of soups or dips felt great. Our room was quiet and clean. Everything was amazing.

Great hotel
Quaint hotel, beautiful bathroom with free standing bath. Just 30 rooms but well catered for with complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge, cookies on arrival. Great location for walking to the harbour. Had a fabulous meal at Fishhook - Indian/ fish restaurant 5 mins walk away.
