The room was a bit on the old side, but the cleanliness and convenience to the shopping center (Bay Center, which is right across the road from this hotel) more than makes up the room’s oldness. If you want easy access to downtown attractions this is the go to hotel. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel :-)

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel -- you never know quite what you'll get at this price point. Though the facilities are old, the room was kept up and clean, and I was impressed by how well sound-insulated it was from the hallway and neighboring rooms. My room had a little kitchenette which was great, but I'm not sure if that's standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though my needs were minimal. The location really can't be beat. Lots of great stuff on the very same block, but also totally walkable to many of the downtown/waterfront attractions. And extremely easy access to many, many bus lines for roaming farther afield.

Our room was a bit odd, the bathroom sink was in the sleeping area, separate from the bathroom, the tv was positioned in a way that makes it unviewable, the fridge was on the floor because exposed piping is blocking where it would normally be placed. None of these things are really a problem, it's just kinda weird. The bed was fine and it was somewhat quiet, and the hotel is in an ideal location, so if these quirks don't bother you then you can save a bit of money by staying here.
