The hotel door is beautiful. Our room was clean and cozy but not very big and we had no view whatsoever. The organized a lunch box for us to take with since we had to leave before the actual breakfast was being served which was very nice. They were also helpful in sending us (upon request) potential restaurants to make reservations at since we were there for New Years. The location is wonderful near public transport and a large shopping street. The hotel bar- the Barfly- is a treat! Highly recommend having one of their possibly 100 cocktails- each one created with precision and exquisite care.

Family vacation to Vienna (19-21 Aug)
It was exceptionally hot weather in Vienna when we stayed there (33-34C in the afternoon). We got 2 rooms. One was facing SE and another facing West. It got so hot in the afternoon for the room facing west with the sun that we can't possibly stay in the room until late evening (after 7:30pm) when sun sets.Even with 2 fans installed, it didn't help much.

Nice room with very clean and modern washroom! The street in front of our room was really noisy, and it was a little too hot in the room, but overall, it was a great hotel. The location is perfect.

It was an experience only to waste money. This hotel seems to be interested in making money by charging cancellation penalty rether than offering value accomodation to customers.

Classic hotel, great wifi, great location
Great classic old hotel with tons of character! I had a superior double room on the fourth floor. The carpet and furnishings were a bit worn, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The showerhead was nice but the water never got hot, just warm, which was a little odd. The room was quiet (the window opened to the inner space between buildings, so there was light but no street noise). The free wifi was blazing fast for a hotel (about 25mbps) and I had a good connection. One thing to note is that although there is a little elevator, there are still a few stairs required to reach some of the rooms on each floor. I also didn’t see an elevator entrance at street level (though I may have missed it), you go up maybe 10 steps to reach the lobby. Oh - there are no “do not disturb” signs, but instead when you put the key in the door from inside the room it pops out a little flag showing you’re in there. Neat! Lastly, the service was excellent and friendly, and the location is great, just steps from the metro. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location , service needs a boost
This was our second time at this hotel, the room we picked was a great rate, but was not to our expectation therefore I did request a different room. The agent working the check in was not overly friendly but efficient she offered us another room but we had to pay approximately 10 euros extra per night. If you plan to book this hotel and want a nicer room book the higher price, well worth it. As for extras in the room , towels were scarce as were pillows. Location is excellent great to get to Mariahilferstrasse as well as all Museums and the Stadt. I may stay again but customer service is lacking and with the many choices of hotels Vienna has to offer the customer has a choice.

The hotel near shopping street
Early check-in was kindly provided free of charge. Breakfast was excellent. The only improvement I would like to suggest - to assemble a hook for upper clothes in the room near the entrance door.

great location and very nice staff
The location is fabulous, right on a main shopping street leading to museums quarters. Also the metro sedation is very close by. Only problem was the bed wasn't very comfortable, it had dents in the middle. And no microwave in the room.

We had a very lovely stay at this hotel--its discrete elegance combined with personal attention made one feel very welcome from the beginning. Prior to our arrival I also was able to obtain excellent information by telephone about how best (and most inexpensively) travel from the airport to the hotel.
