Don't make the same mistake
An incompetent staff member failed to provide hospitable customer service, and most of the others displayed a nonchalant attitude resulted in three change of rooms in two nights. As for the first claim of incompetency, cited "its my first day"as an excuse, yet failed to resolve the issue with empathy. The second claim of nonchalant attitude it was further supported by the lack of cleanliness and overall due diligence throughout the hotel. Our disgust from the initial interaction should have been enough to turn us away, but unfortunately, it was just the beginning of a troubling trend with this establishment, which was given every opportunity to make things right.

The property gave away the room that I originally reserved because another guest had an issue with theirs; therefore we were placed in a room that was not handicapped accessible for my mother and the bed was too small for my daughter and I to share. We had to move rooms before even getting in because there was a door malfunction and we couldn't get into the first room. We were also placed at what was almost the furthest end of the hotel from the entrance and main elevators causing my handicapped mother to walk a very long distance. I asked about closer outside and elevator access and the desk clerk tried but could not give me specifics. They would not have helped anyway since the closer elevator was out of order. The shower did not completely shift to shower leaving the tub to fill quickly and not drain properly. That is after we had to call down to get a shower curtain because there wasn't one. The toilet paper holder was missing also. I understand the hotel is under renovation but some of these problems could be fixed with common maintenance and diligence. Others were just lack of knowledge and/or concern for the guest. We will not be booking here again.

Nice and Clean
Clean, lobby was nice with fresh lemon water. Pool area was clean. Room was clean. My only issue was the air conditioning in the room. We were on the 6th floor and the room never got below 75 degrees. We called maintenance and they said short of replacing the entire unit nothing could be done.

Well, the hotel was a bit dated. It was a bit over price for the stay. Not enough towel supply in the rooms even though I requested more each time it was not put there without asking the pool was a bit dirty with no evidence of anyone cleaning it. access to the beach was about 10 miles again price was not equal to stay

We started off with no one at the front desk for 10 minutes, dining was not great at all, one restaurant is closed for renovations, carpets are stinky and gross, water in room was cold, we were given 1 towel, room bathroom counter was stained and gross looking, not clean.

Not impressed at all.
Got into our room and discovered hair all on the sheets. Called front desk and asked for new sheets. We were told “We will send someone right over” after about 30 minutes of waiting we went to the front desk where they then said they weren’t sure where the maid was or if the maid was even there so they handed us sheets that were ALSO stained. There was no shower gel to bathe with. During checkout we bought these issues up with a desk clerk. She said she would check to see if the manager was there. After 10 minutes she came back and said the manager was NOT there and couldn’t offer us a discount but could offer us a breakfast. Being we could both see the room was dirty we certainly didn’t want to eat from a kitchen where we couldn’t see. We stay in a lot of hotels especially holiday inns and this by far was the worst we have been in. For the price of $230 for one night our room should have been in tip top shape.

Doors are extremely hard to close. Very loud when someone else closes their door. It woke me up plenty of times during the night. Room service came into my room without knocking. Luckily I had the lock on. Property does have bugs/roaches. Front desk and bar server was very friendly.

Pool was closed the first day we were there and apparently it had been closed for months. The website didn’t state that when we made the reservation a couple months ago. The shower wasn’t working and someone had to come fix it. There weren’t enough towels in the room to accommodate the number of guests it was booked for.

Asked for extra towels and they kept taking them out of our room when the housekeeping people came in. There was a large convention there and people running up and down the hallways until 1 am. Only one bathroom far from the pool and people were changing in there. The breakfast was over priced and cold. Temperatures were not held to proper levels per health standards. On a positive note the one bar that was open had a very nice bartender.

Ready for an upgrade
This hotel is about to begin some much needed, long awaited upgrading. Decent property overall but right now not worth what I paid for it. The carpet throughout is really really worn. The room was nice but the toilet ran all the time and the faucet wasn’t connected to the sink. The toilet running was a big headache. I went to use the laundry services and there was always two machines off the eight (4 washers and 4 dryers) that weren’t working. So when people left their clothes in the machines for over an hour when it only takes 25-30 minutes to complete a load, it was frustrating. The restaurant was nice and the had a great spread for breakfast. Reasonable pricing but the scrambled eggs were not as hot as they should’ve been. It’s a decent stay but reserve early to get a lower price. I’d consider starting again but not my first choice.

Had to get moved three times. First room the door was off the hinges and would not shut or lock; also smelled like mold. The second room smelled like mold and had an active leak in the ceiling as well as wet carpet. Third room smelled like mold and there was an active leak outside of our window into the lobby. Carpets and bathtub were absolutely filthy and the cleaners did not do a good job cleaning between days either. This was an absolutely terrible experience I will never go back
