Cosy winter bolt hole.
We spent a few days with friends in this warm, welcoming and well equipped bungalow. Quiet neighbourhood, and really well placed for Rock, lovely local pub, ferry to Padstow and coastal path walks. The log burner was much appreciated. Would hope to go back.

beautiful house close to best parts of North Cornwall coast
The house was beutifully clean and really well equipped. It was in a quiet cul-de-sac less than 10 minutes drive from Daymer Bay and Polzeath. We could not fault it in any way.

Comfortable house in a great location
The house was ideal for our needs for a 5 day break. Located in a small complex of bungalows, it is very quiet and residential but only a short walk to the nearest pub, baker, fishmonger, general store and butcher (and the Sharpe’s brewery for a beer or tour). The house is very well equipped if you choose to self cater and the living space was comfortable for the 3 of us and two medium dogs. The garden is a good size, south facing, and secluded but due to the weather we didn’t make best use of it. Our host, Derek, was very quick to respond to questions.

In general the accommodation and garden Was comfortable and well situated. I found a couple of dog walks very close, and the beaches were we wanted were a short car journey. Prime pub and local shops easy walking distance. I think that if 8 adults had wanted to be seated in the lounge area all together that would have been a tight squeeze. The teenagers would have appreciated a bathroom bin apparently. And we couldn’t find the linen bags. A very enjoyable week. Younger members loved coasteering from Port Gaverne.

Fabulous stay five minute drive from beach
This property was in a great location - we spent most of our stay at polzeath beach which was 2 miles away but some adults walked to it over the golf course- it was fabulous with surf waves but also amazing rockpools - just a brilliant beach - but also went to st mawes st ives and padstow Property had great enclosed safe garden with good seating and bbq Inside property was very well equipped - lots of hot water and two good showers - one over bath The provision of a decent washing line would have saved the owner some elec costs as we had to use the tumble dryer more than would have liked Local pub five mins walk did great food Comunication with the owner was great too - Would definitely return

Nice house, quick drive to beaches
Enjoyed our stay, house was well appointed and quiet, with close proximity to local pub and shops and we really enjoyed it. Any criticisms I’d say that it’d be good if there was extra wardrobe space, only one room out of three had a wardrobe. But because we were there with just our children wasn’t too bad. All in all a good property.

Lovely bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac in village near the sea
Comfortable, spacious and well maintained bungalow with lots of interesting pictures and homely touches. We had a slight problem as most of the bedrooms had not had beds made up and were missing towels, but this was quickly resolved. My one criticism is that the unlined curtains let in too much early morning light. A big garden with tables, chairs and bbq, though some of the garden furniture looked in need of a bit of tlc.

The house was really roomy and had all the things we needed - plenty of cooking utilities and glasses, lovely big garden, ensuite with one of the rooms, hot electric showers, short walk from local pub and shop then a little futher a spar and butchers etc Parking all day for £3 near to the beach, after a short walk to the beach, the beach is lovely and there are a few bars You can catch a ferry to padstow We had a really great time

It was a nice stay but maybe not recommended for younger children as there are a few hazards in the house. Unfortunately the BBQ had a hole in the bottom of it so we were unable to use plus no gas provided so had to get some disposables. The main bathroom had a very bad fish smell and we ended up buying drain cleaner to help unblock and pull out a huge amount of hair to try and eliminate the smell. Stains on a duvet plus underneath beds and furniture were not cleaned properly and a lot of cobwebs and dust have been collected over time. We ended up buying baking trays and frying pans as a lot of these that were provided were burnt and unusable. House is in a good location, however I wouldn’t recommend Rock as a location for smaller children either. We drove 30 minutes to Harlyn Bay every day as the beaches nearby were not suitable for us.

Lovely property with a great garden
Really nice kitchen/dining/living area, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Garden is private and lovely - BBQ area was an unexpected added bonus. Perfect for people who do not need to be able to walk to the beach but want to walk to bakery/butcher/shop/pub etc. A lovely property which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Wonderful property and excellent private back garden
A wonderful well kept property and excellent enclosed private garden for our 2 dogs to play in. Cleanliness was good. Unfortunately I could only use the top drawer in the bedroom cabinet, as the lower 2 drawers were broken. The kitchen was well equipped apart from there were no baking trays provided. Beds were super comfy, as was the large sofa. I had to speak to the window cleaners as they arrived at the property and failed to announce themselves, just proceeded to clean the windows (luckily we had all showered etc) maybe a word to the cleaning company to avoid embarrassment of staying guests would be an idea. Thank you Derek for getting us back in to the property after the front door closed on us with the key in the door. We had a very enjoyable weeks holiday at this property in Rock.
