Horrible! Stay somewhere else, don’t be fooled by the smart looking building facade and tidy internal areas as sadly the rooms aren’t as loved. The room smelt horrible, had crystallised damp on the walls, a dirty bathroom (especially the shower curtain), electric wires exposed on appliances and overall of a general poor standard. Breakfast choices were extremely limited and questionable hygiene levels. The only good thing was its location to Petra entrance and free car parking. Worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in and couldn’t wait to leave.

Good value.
Don’t go for a double bed. They are tiny and the rooms are smaller. Two single beds in a non smoking room was a much better option. Staff in restaurant were particularly lovely, and it was possible to enjoy a glass of Jordanian wine on the terrace. Big downside though is the speakers for call to prayer are right next to the hotel. They blared into our bedroom at 5am which is not a welcome wake up. Okay if you’re setting off early for Petra perhaps.

Terrible hotel to be presented as 3 Star.
Hotels.com must stop advertising this dirty old hotel as 3 Star. This is a old dated hotel not worthy of carrying 3 star markings. All staff were polite and friendly but hotel it self is old and falling apart. Bed linen was so worn and ripping apart. Bath towel were old and discoloured . Bathroom is an eye sore with dirty shower basins with blocked drain. When I mentioned this to the staff they kindly showed me other 2 available rooms and they are no better. Dinner should have been buffet but served one main dish with chicken and some side dishes for the same price of 10 JD for which you can get much much better food outside. At check out when I mentioned it they gave me 5JD discount which does not change the facts. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. If all of them Stars removed from the hotel, no one will have complaints either. All of them wonderful reviews must have been posted by the hotel itself.

Rooftop view of the city, watching the full moon rise over Petra. Walking distance to everything. Being on top of a hill has its pros and cons, puff, puff! The staff is friendly and helpful. So glad there was a small 2-person elevator to get our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Great breakfast buffet!

Ok for a short stay
I chose this hotel mainly for the location to the main entrance. The hotel is very run down. The room is old and small. But it is sleep-able and convenient. The staff is always ready to serve. I only stay for one night so it is ok.

The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the visitors center and entrance to Petra. The room was clean and accommodated our needs. The staff was nice and helpful and breakfast was good. The hotel is located uphill (short uphill walk) and is next to the Main Street, were many of the restaurants are located.

Good location - very close to the entrance of Petra, while some hotels are a long way off, so a quick easy walk if you want to be one of the first in the morning. Good value breakfast, and cheap overall compared to other options. Definitely a budget option - quite basic and feels a little tired. Bathroom wasn't perfectly clean, and we ordered a pack lunch for Petra the night before, but the order hadn't been given to the kitchen, so it wasn't ready (they prepared it quickly, but it did delay us a little). However being such a good price, you can't complain and expect a 5star hotel - you get what you pay for, and the staff were all friendly. If you want a basic, friendly option close to Petra without luxuries, this is for you.

Good perfect budget hotel
I had a nice stay at this hotel. Although, yeah, it seems Abit old, but the room is very clean. Outside the room, it smells like cigarette smoke but inside the room, it smells very nice. The hotel is very near the Petra site (5-10mins) depends on how fast u walk. But the way up to it, the street is steep. But it's fine by me since I love walking. And u don't need to spend money to take a taxi. The room is complete, all the basic needs u can ask for, clean towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel. The only thing I've noticed is that u can easily hear any noise from outside. And some rooms (my room) is directly beside a mosque, so expect that morning prayer call to wake u up as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. I actually already did to my friends and other people on travel groups. I would stay here again if I go back to Petra. Thank you Candles.
