Great property

We never knew how fantastic the CT coast could be! This house had it all! The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. I've stayed in many rentals around the world and this property was by far the best stocked with everything; cookware, linens, toys, beach equipment, outside furniture and more. The location was perfect for families, a short drive, walk or kayak trip to multiple beaches and playgrounds! Our family had so much fun searching for crabs, fish and periwinkles. We would love to come back again!

Excellent spot!

This house was great! The patio was amazing! So peaceful in the morning and evening to sit and watch the sun rise or set. Very convenient location. House is well laid out and has everything you need. Coffee station with k-cup brewer was a nice touch. Charging station in main living space was so appreciated! Only slight detractor was there is no cell coverage in this area. None. If you are looking to fully disconnect that is great! We needed to keep some work going so this was a small annoyance. Also, the Wi-Fi is there but not strong and did not stay connected upstairs well. Just something to note if you need to stay connected. House was perfect though and we’d stay again. Thanks!

Lots of space!

We had a wonderful stay while in town for our son’s graduation from USCGA! Plenty of rooms to spread out. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with every gadget, pot, pan, etc. you could possibly need. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly for us to fully enjoy the outdoor space.

Beautiful home!

We spent Family Weekend at the USCGA with our Cadet and this house was perfect for us! Loved the decor, ambiance, being on the water and the views were beautiful. Fully stocked kitchen was great, charger station was very helpful, and having three full baths was HUGE! You can't beat the living areas and bedrooms. Leslie was very gracious to us. We all agreed this is where we want to stay the next time we return!

This home is very nicely decorated and very well equipped. The home has some nice amenities, such as being located on a cove, ample parking and quiet street. We enjoyed going to Mystic, Rocky Neck State Park, take-out from Fred’s Seafood Shanty, and took a trip to Watch Hill, RI. We missed getting a reservation to do the Lighthouse Tour about the Cross Sound Ferry (book in advance). It is hard to keep floors clean in a vacation home, so we did notice the effects of that. Everything else inside was very clean. The outside area could use some cleaning of dead leaves and dead plants in planters. Overall, we had an awesome visit and would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect summer vacation house!

Beautiful house with all the bells and whistles; it even has an outdoor shower tucked inside vines! We stayed with another family and the upstairs and downstairs each felt like their own private rentals and the middle floor and outdoor areas served as a common hang out area. Walking distance to multiple beaches (one with a boardwalk). The house also had direct access to a cove that we used to kayak directly into the sound (we brought our own kayaks but I believe there are also some available for a fee). Family friendly house and location too; directly across the cove is a playground you can easily kayak over to play on with the kids.

Lots of Wildlife and Quiet Morning Coffee on the Deck

Great home for families or multiple couples. Plenty of space and areas to retreat to. Excellent decor and endless ammenties. Excellent place for a family with grandparents, young kids, or multiple couples w/ kids. We had a great time Labor Day weekend and everything we needed was there. Location wasn't my favorite, having stayed in Mystic earlier in the summer this house was further away from the things we wanted to go to. Ocean Beach Park was convenient to walk to but I found it slightly dirty and a bit trashy. We took the kids one day and I won't be returning on nay future trips (the beach and water were beautiful but the crowd was "rough", the rides weren't exactly open and the food places were all closed, it was a bizarre place). The home was awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Really appreciate the hospitality of Kelley and the warmth we all felt in her home. Thank you for a great stay!!

Well-maintained property with lots of thoughtful extras provided. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor patio/bar area. The outdoor furniture was comfortable, and the children LOVED having such easy access to the water. The kitchen is well-functioning, and we easily prepared family meals.

We had the best vacation at Ridgewood by the sea!!! The house was immaculate and had every amenity. As described in the listing there are two separate living spaces which was great for our two families with young children. We enjoyed Waterford beach and felt like we were in Florida! Kelley was very accommodating! She even had a high chair and baby gates for us!

Thanksgiving 2020

The house was beautiful and clean and had everything we could think of to make our stay very enjoyable. It had a great backyard with views of the inlet with lots of different birds (geese, ducks, egrets, etc). It was close to Ocean beach, where we spent a lot of time walking. We came with our family and were able to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings!! We would definitely stay there again!!!

Ridgewood House Was a Gem

We were very pleased to arrive and find the owner had prepared the home nicely, and even set the AC up for us. Since we had 3 families meeting there, we planned for group dining several times through the week. This turned out to be much easier than anticipated, since the fridge/freezer are huge, and there is a pantry available. The kitchen was very well supplied, with nearly every appliance and kitchen tool needed. While cell (and wi-fi) can be spotty in certain areas, we had no real problems communicating with Kelly . She make it clear that she would help with any problems we had, and it was a nice surprise when she popped in with donuts for us!! As we packed to leave, I heard nearly everyone in our party say "When we come back next year..." Thanks for letting us spend a fantastic week in your home.

Relaxing get away with all the amenities

Not your typical rental property. You can tell these owners take great pride in their property. The decor is modern and fresh and it has everything you could need for your group to be comfortable and relaxed. many nights enjoyed by the waterside fire pit, riding kayaks and paddle boards. The owner was beyond accommodating. if your looking to just relax on the beach I recommend the Waterford Town beach.

We so enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this house!

Relax and reconnect in this peaceful location

This home was perfect for our gathering of friends from all over the country. The house is well appointed with enough towels and rooms for all plus enough space to have alone time if needed; the porch off the master bedroom was a hidden gem! The outdoor space was wonderful - a large patio with plenty of seating, an outdoor bar at which we spent a good amount of time plus a fire pit for nighttime enjoyment. The neighborhood is quiet with very little traffic to add to the peaceful setting. The house is surrounded by vegetation so you truly feel like you are on your own little island. The house is located on Alewife cove that leads by a meandering stream to the Long Island Sound. Several of us took advantage of the two kayaks and explored the waterway. We also walked to the beach and appreciated the off season calm of the boardwalk, sand and hiking area. Our trip coincided with Hurricane Dorian so we were able to hear the waves crashing on the shore from the house... an unexpected bonus! We all joked about the waterpark that was visible from the house..it was closed for the season and we all laughed that it was a perfect Scooby Doo (the cartoon, not the movie - did I just give away our age group?) setting with a cranky gatekeeper being foiled by the gang. We all enjoyed cooking and hanging out together - in this home, it was easy to do. It is located near the downtown with many great restaurant choices and plenty of Uber/Lyft availability. We thank Kelley for her helpfulness and assistance with all of our queries (the chalkboard welcome was a nice touch - thank you!). It was a perfect getaway for all and we hope to stay here again.

Great relaxing family vacation

This was a great vacation spot. We were looking for a place that would work for our whole family. With the downstairs having the two bedrooms, bathroom and common area was perfect for my daughters family. While the third floor with the three bedrooms was roomy for the rest of us. We took turns making meals with the kitchen having an abundant amount of pans and dishes. The kids utensils were so helpful. Everything you could possibly need was there. The patio was perfect for night time fires and our corn hole tournament. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach cart were so helpful for our trips to the beautiful beaches minutes away. Going to the Mystic Aquarium on a rainy day along with an evening trip to Mystic for shopping and ice cream. Such great place to visit with many wonderful memories made!!!

3 night getaway

House was great you didn't have to leave. We had 6 adults and 5 kids with room to spare. Being able to Swim and kayak right out off the yard was awesome. There is a park you can kayak to on the other side of the cove, we used it as a daily adventure. Also drove to the beach, where you need to pay for parking ($17) and that gives you beach access for 5 people. There is other tings to do once there such as mini golf, and some rides but we didn't take advantage of any of that. Our last night was a Friday night and they had a band playing on the boardwalk you could clearly hear followed by a nice firework show to close out the evening next to our own fire. Great spot for a quick getaway. Also the interior was clean and very nicely decorated in a coastal thee throughout the house and outdoor bar.
