"Amn merkt, dass Das Strahan Village etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Unser erstes Zimmer war sehr frisch gestrichen und roch entsprechend strak nach Farbe. Wir konnten aber umbuchen und das 2. Zimmer war OK. Das Frühstück in 42Grad View war durchschnittlich uns m.E. für das Angebot zu teuer. Zum Abendessen gab es in dem Restaurant ein sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Buffet. Sehr häufig muss man sich aber mit Reisegruppen am Buffet herumschlagen. Der Blick auf den Hafen ist toll. Die Lounge mit dem Hafenblick sehr gemütich. Im Ort ist alles fußläufig erreichbar. Für alles in der Umgebung benötigt man ein Auto.Derzeit gibt es nur eine Zapfsäule am Flughafen für Normalbenzin und zwei für Diesel (zusätzlich noch am Hafen). Dort ist nur Kartenzahlung möglich. Wir haben die Riverkreuzfahrt auf dem Gordon-River gebucht (sehr zu empfehlen). Die Hogart-Falls (fußläufig) und die Montezuma-Falls in Rosebary (Auto benötigt) besucht - beides toll. Wir haben den Sonnenuntergang am Ocean Beach Lookout genossen (ein Muss, wenn das Wetter mitspielt) und einen Spaziergang über die Henty Dunes gemacht (hier Vorsicht: Der Sand ist superfein und es ist echt anstrengend dort zu laufen. Es sieht auch alles gleich aus und in den Dünen kannst du dich leicht verlaufen. Immer auf deine Fußsouren achten. Bei Wind können diese aber auch schnell verweht werden). Die Wilderness-Railway fuhr wegen Instandhaltung leider nicht Insgesamt können wir einen Besuch in Strahan alle Tasmanien-Reisenden empfehlen. "
