We really enjoyed our stay here! Im very particular about hotels and lodging so I was worried after reading some of the reviews but I am pleased to say my expectations were exceeded. They have an online check-in process and when your room is ready, they send you detailed instructions and a code on how to access your room with a keypad. Ultimately it’s a contactless process but there was someone on site majority of the time during our 3 night stay at the Inn to help with guests needs. I am happy to report the room/bathroom itself were very clean and homey. I bring my own sheets and comforter but I’d feel comfortable to sleep on their sheets if I needed too. To add, the beds and pillows were nice and comfy. Although the Inn seemed fairly busy we had no issues whatsoever in terms of noise. One minor flaw was the room was smaller than expected- that being said we fit 4 adults, each with snowboard gear, in one room and made it work. The Inn also had tons of communal spaces to hang around in and utilize. They had complimentary snacks and a nice coffee machine. Location was great, it’s easy to get too, lots of dinning options, and walking distance to Mount Snow (but the Moo shuttle services also makes a stop at the Inn). Overall, we had a really great stay from the cleanliness, location, and friendly staff- I would stay here again and recommend to others!

Like the location but disappointed in services
I stayed at Mountaineer Inn before, it was lovely and lively with live persons at the front desk. Very nice breakfast and the hot tub and sauna were working. I still like the location but none of the above services was available. It operates like AirB&B, almost all self services!!!! Does not feel like an inn anymore

Great Location for Mount Snow. Either walk, shuttle, or drive to the mountain. Room was much smaller than expected but clean and beds were comfortable. Lights over bathroom vanity were very dim, no hand soap in bathroom. Only 2 Towels for the 4 people in our room. Complimentary coffee machine was nice however, hotel advertised breakfast was included and there was no breakfast available. Did not encounter one employee, just a sign at the counter to text someone if we had an issue. So, the hotel was fine to stay at, just don't expect much more than a place to stay with no amenities or employees to assist you.

The rooms are modern and fresh whilst the building retains a rustic feel. Clean room. The new coffee machine is great. In the morning, granola bars and yogurt are available for breakfast. Very close to mount snow. I would stay here again.

Great access to the Moover but the hot tub was closed (since the summer, and we were looking forward to using it this winter) and there wasn’t a hot breakfast like the property once offered. I wasn’t fully aware of these changes so was a bit disappointed. For the cost, would have preferred an Airbnb.

We have been coming to the Mountaineer Inn for 15 years and were sad when the owners of many years sold, but it seems there has been another change in ownership and there is ZERO of the charm the inn used to have. There is no longer hot breakfast, no longer inn-wide apres ski, no longer any cleaning service during the stay, no longer fire burning in the fireplace, and more hours of the day with nobody at the front desk to welcome you back. And the hot tub apparently has been broken since May and by December still had not been fixed. All in all, it was extremely disappointing.

The room was tiny and it was very warm at night without any ability to control the temperature except keeping the door to the terrace open. When I went to plug in a charger behind the bed, it was clear that it had not been cleaned in quite a while with visible dust and miscellaneous items.

Convenient Location
Perfectly fine little place to stay while in Vermont. Unbelievably convenient location right off the base of Mount Snow, but at a fraction of the price of the lodges at the resort. Easy check in and comfortable beds. Complementary coffee and snacks as well. 2nd time staying here and will definitely consider them again next time.

We had an amazing day of skiing, a wonderful dinner at the Snow Republic Brewery and then an extremely quiet, comfortable night at Mountaneer. We will be back soon!!!!
