Go to the Premier Inn instead
Checked straight out and checked into the Premier Inn. No working lock on door. Toenails on carpet. Stains on fabric. Awful. We have complained and are awaiting a response from Hotels.com
On arrival, there was no one on reception. After pressing a 'ring doorbell' on the desk, a man appeared. He checked my booking on his phone and it stated room 11. I had booked a triple room with a queen bed and a single. He said he needed to check the room was ready (check in was from 3pm and we arrived at 3.30pm). He disappeared and came back a few minutes later with a key with number 12 on it. He then asked if I wanted an upgrade. As we were visiting family, we didnt really need the upgrade as we were just needing the room for sleeping. He insisted, then went to get a different key. He led us to room 7, which had a sea view. However, the room had a single bed in the corridor and a standard double in the bedroom. The room had no central heating- just a small plug-in fan heater. No heating in the bathroom or corridor (make-shift bedroom). There was a kitchenette with a fridge and kettle. The carpets were stained everywhere (also melted in places with an iron mark near the door). No lamp in the bedroom. The bathroom provided no privacy as there was a large glass panel in the door. The room was extemely drafty. Furniture was a mish mash of old arm chairs to cheap B and M shelving/wardrobes.
I tried to cancel my reservation due to the storm which bought a risk to life in the area. The staff and the manager did not see this as a reasonable excuse for cancelling a reservation despite the dangerous weather right outside their door. A bit of common sense would go along way in training their staff.
And to receive a phonecall after midnight asking if i had checked in okay despite me telling them on the phone earlier in the day that i will not be coming. Very unprofessional
The Hotel is a little dated however the manager made up for this as nothing extre was too much trouble for him. We arrive before the check in time as we had to travel to Bristol to see Concorde at 16.00 and we were allowec access tp our room early.

Disliked: Amenities
Stay away from this dump, i walked into my room, light hanging of wall (wires exposed), yale lock fell of in my hand, balcony doors dont lock, dirty floor, dirty shower. (I got all the proof) Its a joke really. I didnt even stay there. I got a premier inn instead!
Where to start … staff on arrival where very unwelcoming room was so dirty and outdated to the point there was no toilet paper but a roll off kitchen towel instead table on balcony looked like it had bn on fire and there was poo on the wall off the toilet I could go on but avoid this hotel at all cost !!!!
