We really enjoyed our stay, and it is certainly a very attractive five star flat in terms of decor, facilities, views, location, nearby parking (often problematic in Whitby) etc - but it was let down by a rather unpleasant drain smell in the bedroom with the en suite, which we couldn’t get rid of. Everything there looked spotless but didn’t smell good. Also slight anxiety due to the check in process, because we were told full details of accessing the flat would be sent 6 hours prior to check in. I checked my email regularly as we were driving there, becoming increasingly concerned as no info arrived. We had told them we’d arrive at 16:00, so at 15:22 I emailed and explained we hadn’t received any info about accessing the flat - receiving an instant reply, with access details, at 15:24! So all was fine in the end.
