Staff are brilliant here, food was really good too. Only reason we gave this a 3 star rating was for some random person knocking on our door at 02.00 in the morning waking myself, wife and daughter realising he had wrong room. This leaving my wife and daughter upset and scared.
Good size, nice rooms with good facilities - conveniently located close to the town centre and very close to a Sainsburys. We have stayed here before so knew it was good.
Room ok, ideal location for walking into Whitby with free parking, breakfast a little slow with the service but only one young girl on running around doing everything.
Nice hotel in good location, pub was nice, good food, atmosphere and staff where really friendly

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Ok for one night, but don't get cooked breakfast!
Accomodation was ok but the building was cold as if heating was turned off to save a few pennies!
The cooked breakfast was awful, cold and uninspiring,I left a few things and my friend left nearly all of theirs!
Would stay there again but just don't have the cooked breakfast!
The staff were helpful and friendly.
There appeared to be a problem with lack of staff in the restaurant with only 3 people on duty on a saturday night. Also some choices of food and drinks not available. The people that were there were working exceedingly hard.
The rooms, bar and food were all good. However when we arrived to check in, it was clear that the staff who should have been on reception, were not in place and it had been left to the other staff (who did the best they could) to check us in,as a number of staff had quit their jobs,
After driving for 4 hours we arrived here . We went into the pub to check in and was told to go over to reception desk.We stood there for about 10 mins with staff just walking by us. In the end I asked a member of staff if somebody was on the desk , he was very rude and said “can’t you see we are busy.” We wouldn’t have minded if someone had just said we would be dealt with soon but staff were just walking by us . Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and and certain members of staff were very nice .
Property was experiencing technical difficulties so restaurant's menu was severly impacted, only limited cooked food available! Bar ran out of Pinot Grigio and New Zealand Savignon not available. Staff attempting to do their best in circumstances!
Staff very friendly. Walking distance to town. Parking easy. The person who sorted our room out for staying an extra few nights was very helpful in moving things about for us to stay.
