We had a condo and enjoyed it very much. We could tell that the condos were built some time ago, however. They are showing their age and some of the kitchen amenities were rather old fashioned. We enjoyed The Mill. It was convenient and well stocked with many yummy provisions. The restaurant near the proshop was very good and we had 2 good meals there. The restaurant at the marina was not so good. They closed early on the night we arrived because of lack of business so we had to go to the one next to the proshop thank goodness!. The meal that we did have at the one at the marina 2 nights later was not good, Oysters on the half shell were warm and slimmy. The fried calamari was good, but the crab cake was poorly done. The shrimp tacos were OK. The bar staff at both restaurants were outstanding. We played the River Course on Friday afternoon, 10/4. Excellent layout, but maintenance left a lot to be desired. The staff in the Proshop were not helpful. KingsMill is a beautiful property. Getting back to basics should be a high priority.

Customer service was terrible. We had requested a quite room. They picked us a room with tennis courts right behind our balcony. When asked for a different room they assured us that tennis courts would be closed during our stay. The next morning we were waken up at 8 am by tennis players. When I complained to front desk about people in front desk lied the day before the manager named Justin said the next time you book a room with us make sure to book a delux room. He didn't even apologize that their staff lied. Never going back.

The property was really nice. For the most part it was quiet. Could hear the people above walking, etc. When we arrived it was after 9 so unfortunately a lot of places were closed. Will have to visit there again to have dinner by the water and maybe ride the bikes

Very beautiful & meticulously maintained. Everyone we dealt with was wonderful. Our Suite was even better than we hoped. Only disappointment was the Lazy River had closed already for the season. The other pools we visited were wonderful.

To start computer was down so staff had to take out information on paper. Sal took out information and was very patience, friendly, and professional. People in lobby using foul language in front of small children. Old men acting like frat boys. If this is the clientele you are marketing to this is fine but you should not advertise the KM for families. Rooms were clean but showing age and could use some TLC. Air conditioner was loud and made it difficult to sleep. Location of room was nice being on the water. I would consider another location the next time we are in Williamsburg. Again, staff was top notch.

We prepaid through Expedia for a king condo and when we arrived the front desk person informed me that they didn’t have a room for me. Then offered a candlewoods suite hotel for free. Nowhere close in comparison. When I said no the clerk said they just had a cancellation but would need to clean it. This was at 730pm. We had to wait 2.5 hrs to final get into the room.

Pictures were severely misleading. The condo we had was old, beat up fixtures and furnishings. The toilet paper was really rough. The outside noise was loud, even with “quiet hours” in place on the property. Their phones and credit card machines didn’t work the whole time we were there, for 4 days. We had to manually write down our credit card numbers which I was really not comfortable doing. We had to text them if we needed anything or go to the front desk. When we got into the room, we noticed a half full kids juice box on the windowsill and pillows on the floor; also a dirty sock in the closet. There were dead frogs in the pool, we had to ask the lifeguards to clean them up. The lifeguards were just sitting around not doing anything. The pool was dirty. I would not recommend this resort, too overrated and overpriced by far. Only stayed here bc of golf and proximity to Busch Gardens. Their resort fee is a joke at $50 a night.

Was only staying one night. As soon as we checked in the power went out throughout the resort. We were not able to dine at the restaurant. I had prepaid for the room and at checkout was charged a $40 resort fee. I asked nicely if this could be waived and was told no. Obviously you won’t see me again.

A beautifully groomed resort
A great place to stay once you get oriented to the grounds. We were only there the one night which was unfortunate because there wasn’t enough time to enjoy all the amenities. The gym was amazing. Quiet grounds if you enjoy cycling. Really good restaurants.
