We had to ask for a room change, as the room we were given was totally insufficient. As a couple, we wanted a double bed, but there were two single beds at either side of the room. The pillows were up against the wall to hide dirty marks. The room was very dark and uninviting.
Our replacement room with the double bed was not much better. There were holes in the wall where there were once pictures and one had a screw showing from it. There were no additional bedside chairs to sit on. The bathroom had black marks on the shower floor and the tiles had black marks of mould. The extractor in the shower was rusted. In addition, the window handle was broken and could not be closed properly.
Overall, the hotel is letting your company down by what we have seen. it is in need of refurbishment in order to fix all the problems we saw. It needs a facelift throughout to make it look more appealing. As a result, we will not be staying there again, as other hotel chains offer a more pleasant environment to the one that resembles a student halls of residence.

Breakfast option on hotels not honoured..
Stay as expected for a days inn but no breakfast honoured on booking and all they do is a cold bagged breakfast which I was overcharged for and then told I had to pay again which I refused...This is not good and looking at avoiding days inn in the future ... Funny how you cannot order breakfast on a days inn booking anymore but somehow hotels think I am lieing.....

We had no hot water in the morning, so couldn't shower.
On entering the room we could smell what appeared to be dettol and damp.
We opened the window and found 3 dirty nappies lying outside next to a rat trap.
That said, the chap on reception was very nice and the bed was very comfortable.
Staff giveaway room in the middle of the night 1.30 am , people coming in whilst we was sleeping, Not good , then 10 mins later knocking on the door to see who we are ,

Booked for convenience for motorway. You get what you pay for! Staff friendly. Based at motorway services so a bit noisy but plenty of fast food options. Parking not a problem as you have the whole service station although was a bit concerned if car would still be there in the morning! Not the best looking of services quite rundown. On arriving at the hotel smashed window to reception area so not a great first impression! Room basic but functional. Only needed as a stopgap but probably wouldn’t stay there again
A member of Staff is rude and unhelpful. Please note there is NO throughfair between Services either side of the M3. The Hotel is SOUTH BOUND. This major information is NOT in the description. IF you're driving North..You have to go right up to the Basingstoke turn off and double back on yourselves a great distance x2 to access the Hotel.
I booked this for my Partner and Her Disabled Brother. They arrived at 2.25pm They wereTold .They would have to PAY extra to gain entry to their room. The Guy on the desk, was Not there on arrival. He didn't hurry himself to his position ,after ringing the Bell. He was abrupt to the Guests. Reception was Grubby and dirty. A packet of opened cigarettes. Presumably his. Plus rubbish on the Floor. After gaining entry, The corridors were Not much better. Blocked in some areas with used Sheets Towels rubbish and cleaning trolleys. The Rooms were Just as Bad ! My Partner and Her Disabled Brother, who was in need of Some rest...after disembarking a cruise ship from Southampton. Because of Fridays Traffic Back to Wales. Is Why i booked them the Hotel.
I am NOT Happy Atall as to their experience. I will be contacting Days Hotels Direct !
