Hotel was very nice, room was comfortable, very warm but a little tired. Sink plug hole wasn’t working and wouldn’t hold water in sink. Turning on the shower left a sewage smell in the bathroom. Breakfast very nice with a good selection. We would stay again.

Could be a really nice hotel, but it's sadly not. Checked in and the interconnecting door was open, fridge not working, no safe in the room, chipped and stained toilet seats, accessible room allocated despite not being requested, fruit platter full of mould, dirty towels everywhere outside the room causing trip hazards etc... Staff also not consistent in their service. Called for Reception and Room service and no one picks up... I had beverage credit included in my Expedia reservation and this was not given to me... Housekeeping made homophobic comments as I was staying with a friend for the first night (had twin beds) and on the second day staying by myself and asked for a double bed to be made. Housekeeping started shouting to the other attendants how 2 girls are sharing a bed? They then continued to make me a twin bed? All was just such a let down. I wouldn't stay here again, a disappointing stay sadly!

Nice but could be better
Clean, nice room. However extremely thin walls and ceilings made the stay very very noisy. Also a couple of staff members weren't particularly friendly, and not the most welcoming compared to other places we've previously stayed. Bed was quite uncomfortable.

Weekend break in Winchester
Stay was perfectly fine, Spa was nice but we didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on food and drink service. Staff were friendly and everything was clean and tiday in the hotel. On-premise EV charger was broken when we arrived but i called the company and they rebooted it for me. I was then able to charge the car OK.

It all seems like too much effort
As a person who lives out of hotels , I expect the basics, and thi one failed on my first and last visit. Th priority of ther hotel seems to be the events and notthe overnight guests, Could not get a table to eat as the restraunt on site was too busy on the first night, afer being told i need to book . .... before I arrive. I must say with 5 people and multiple empty tables I found this unnaceptable, it sems understaffing was the issue, afer being told to book in again in hour, 2 hours later was informed at 9:30 chef was finished, thats was the final straw , Fawlty Towers springs to mind. On a positive my following nights were considerably better, but i believe this was to avoid a poor review. Rooms clean and comfortable. Onsite Spa, generally clean, Hot tub full foaming scum not removed reguralarly, needs attention to detail. While Im not part of a large coach group, the individual guests matter.
