The property was very professionally run, my only negative comment is one of the ground floor rooms would have been better for my mum, but I appreciate that they only have two available

Excellent stay
Good location for both towns in walking distance.. excellent breakfast. Nice room ensuite a little small but serviceable and clean. TV a little small. Good decor, bedding and towels. Overall excellent stay.

Brilliant walkable location between Windermere and Bowness. Hotel is decorated well to suit the character of the building whilst maintaining all modern requirements. Breakfast options are excellent and staff are very attentive and helpful.

Got a great price through Hotels.com.Hotel centrally located between Windemere and Bowness.Free car park a bonus,but could be a little tight manouvering if busy.Staff really pleasant and a credit to the Hotel.Shout out to Tarin on reception for her warmth of greeting,and going out of her way to find me some selotape.Room well appointed with big four poster bed,which was super comfy.Great nights sleep,followed by a tasty and plentiful breakfast,once again served by pleasant and efficient staff.Well done Woodlands,Great stay and Great Staff..

Perfect spot for a base for a couple of days whilst touring the area. Had the benefit of an upgrade upon arrival toa 4 poster and jacuzzi bath which was most appreciated, and couldn't fault the decor or cleaning. Felt good to be able to open a window too as you can't always in some hotels. Had a lovely cooked breakfast and staff were pleasant enough. Didn't use the bar area or lounge so can't comment on that. The hotel is between Bowness and Windermere so ideal for walking to either or direct access to explore the south lakes area. Quite happy to stay again on another visit.

Room without a view.
We checked in & given a key for room 16. We were told the room was at the top of the B&B, we climbed all the stairs with our bags,to find there was not a room 16.... We told the guy on reception thete was no room 16, so up we went again with the person on reception who was going to show up personally now to room 16.... guess what ..no room16 ... The person on reception had to phone someone to ask where room 16 was .. Eventually the man gave us another key and took us around the back of the property into a room, which was obviously a converted garage under the B & B ... The room was dark & you had to have the lights on at all times why you were in there. When you looked out of the window , where the dressing table & bed was you coul either see peoples feet if they were walking, or the tyres of a csr parked outside the window. The breakfast room staff were excellent abd nothing waS too much trouble for them, they were polite & curtious.

The location, staff and service were second to none. Beautifully decorated guesthouse. The breakfast service was efficient, beautiful and a pleasure to enjoy. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend.
