The reception staff were friendly and helpful but the spa / health-club staff were not, the brunette haired lady was not helpful and was unapproachable when asked more than a few questions. This is the only reason i have given a low rating.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Rooms were newly refurbished and very clean, online photos need updating as hotel is much nicer that pictures. The spa let this hotel down as the pool was closed, even though we had a spa package to included the pool and a booked time, then offered a time following day which was of no use.

the Hotel is in need of an upgrde

the decor and fittings are looking tired and in need of an upgrade, the reception lounge is very dark and unwelcoming, although the evening buffet was excellent. The breakfast buffet was terrible with inadequate staff and food Generally it is not living up to its 4 star rating

Outdated hotel, awful value for money

Cons: Showers, television
Did not represent value for money in the slightest. Terrible shower, average pressure and took about 5 mins for hot water to warm up and get going - on all three occasions that I had a shower! Television in the room did not work bar a fuzzy bbc1. Staff were ok, polite but not friendly or warm and to top it all off someone randomly put a large bar bill on my room which delayed me by 10 minutes in the morning whilst I waited for them to take it off my bill. I had already prepaid for my room and told them I was checking out the night before, wouldn't have even known about the bill if it hadn't been for the envelope which they popped under my door overnight. Will not be staying there again.

over night stay

Wedding

First room we were given at first glance was nice. On closer inspection was covered in dust, ash(?) and the smell of mold. There was serious amount of black old around the french doors to the balcony. Both my partner and I have mildew and mold allergies we vacated immediately. Reception gave us a 'new refurbished' room. The receptionist stated that mold was totally unacceptable. Really? Like the hotel doesn't know they have a problem. New room - like night and day - still not as clean as one would expect from a Hilton, but whatever.
