Perfect location, perfect food, profesional staff.
The hotel is in a brilliant location.The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff who are first class. The food is fantastic, the choice and quality at breakfast is exceptional. The meal we had on the Saturday night was delicious and so flavoursome. Top marks to the kitchen! The room was on the 6th floor and, whilst very spacious with an enormous bed, unfortunately it faced the main road and was surprisingly noisy both day and night. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, it never seemed to see a hoover with fluff on the floor. We would definitely stay there again. It was a positive experience overall but we'd try and get a room at the back of the hotel if that was feasible.

Parking is always a concern but with a large secure NCP very close by i felt ok. The staff were polite and exremely helpful. Room was good with a great mattress, a good nights sleep with blackout curtains. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. Thankyou Malmaison we will book again.

Loved staying here, even extended my trip an extra day because I didn't want to leave York or my room. The room was extremely clean and very spacious. The tub and large shower were such a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. There are plenty out USB outlets in case you forget your adapters. The room service was excellent. Dining and drinking at the hotel were exceptionally nice. Staff was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

I wanted to move in!
Unfortunately I asked if I could stay and move in and they said no. I think that speaks volumes. The room was incredibly clean and spacious. Really liked the small details such as the floor nightlight that came in when you were venturing to the loo at 3am! The shower is amazing. Rainforest shower and normal shower. Extremely quiet despite being in the middle of the city centre. Pulled and duvets were of a high spec and the bed as the comfiest ever. Television was behind a sliding picture frame. In future,any city trips and I will be eyeballing my husband to book a Malmaison hotel.

Very nice hotel. Very good location, 5 mins to the train station, shops and eatery places within walking distance of 5 mins. Staff very friendly especially in the restaurant. Booked half board, the food was delicious and well worth the money, 2 course meal and breakfast. One thing I would say, we booked the family room but there's no doors to the entrance to the bathroom and shower area, just doors for the toilet room and bedrooms!! Worth mentioning so people know. They should consider having some doors or blinds for privacy, but otherwise, very good stay and comfortable and convenient to everything

Only stayed for one night. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was clean but not enough basic amenities such as toilet roll. We tried asking for more but the man did not understand us. Quilt on bed was ripped but clean. Not fussed on the bathroom layout. No privacy whilst in shower and not enough large towels provided. Would stay again as a good location. Did not try the reasturants or bar.
