We had a great time at the Yorktown’s Hotel. We enjoyed being right downtown. The hotel bars and restaurants were good. And city parking was inexpensive and basically across the street.

Small issues: waste can hadn't been emptied and was full of cucumbers(???). Shower was a handheld that was difficult to position in such a way so as not to flood bathroom.

This is the most expensive hotel in york. When i called to have the sofa bed made for my son in our suite, O was informed there was a bed in a bag in the closet but housekeeping was gone and there was no one to make up the bed for us. The food and food service was excellent. The hotel being downtown also meant sirens all hrs of the night which my wife couldnt sleep through. The hotel is very pretty and the rooftop bar was neat but they definitely need a TV inside the bar area.
