A lovely hotel in a Georgian House, it has lots of outdoor courtyards for residents. Plenty of parking, the breakfast was superb and dinner too.

DIABOLICAL HOTEL
Myself and my husband stayed with you Sunday night for just one night and unfortunately had a very poor experience with yourselves. Firstly, the huge issue is the parking. We booked online and nowhere were we pre-warned that parking was chargeable, let alone PER car. When bringing this to the attention of the reception you were rude and argumentative. A member of staff even suggested I park on yellow lines outside the hotel. The car park park provided is diabolical at best. Half the car park is inaccessible around a tree, and gravelled throughout. Whilst at reception one other couple complained about the chargeable car park and poor condition. I notice many negative reviews stating the same thing, yet you've implemented no changes for this. Safe to say we didn't use your car park. In our room the bed was uncomfortable and poor condition, including constant squeaking of the bed, and shockingly the headboard totally broken off the wall, which made it bang heavily against the wall upon any movement in bed. The bathroom facilities were poor, and we were left with no toilet roll, therefore had to use tissues.

The room was old and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Bathroom was mouldy, furniture was broken and like something from the old days. The breakfast was poor. Took ages to come then was cold. Would have sent it back if not in a rush to leave. Not happy at just shy of. £300 for 1 night for 2 rooms

I was excited to book what appears to be a lovely hotel, however the room was small, dark, my dress knee length was too long for the wardrobe, the bathroom had a large stain on the floor, the towel rail was very rusty. The carpet was dirty around the edge, it was so hot lower floor was much better, with the window open it was very noisy so a bad nights sleep. Staff were all lovely. Would not stay again for the price.

Hotel was great, if I had a complaint it would be that there was no socket near the bed and I have a CPAP machine I need to plug in to help me breather when I sleep. My charger lead etc was just long enough and I'm sure the hotel staff would have supplied an extension cable had IO needed it (they were amazingly friendly and helpful in every other capacity). However it would be something that could be improved.

Our experience was far from favourable in respect of the room, food and service. Room- cobwebs, suspicious 'hair' on bathroom floor. Extractor fan not working, plaster, caused by damp, flaking on wall behind curtain. Tie, obviously left by former occupant, found behind chair. Bedding clean, bed comfortable Food- waited 55 minutes for starter due to mistake by staff. All 4 main meals had issues. Bread had been cut like doorstops, confusion on gluten free requests which left my daughter somewhat anxious. No cocktails, no mocktails and they ran out of sauvignion blanc! Breakfast was fine! Service- evening staff seemed to lack experience and skills. Excuses were made for the poor service, we werent checked on during the meal and we had to go and find them to ask why we had been waiting almost an hour for our starters. Despite giving a credit card as 'guarantee ' on arrival, bar staff would not accept it so we had to pay by debit card 'as we went along'. No mocktail or cocktail menu available. Breakfast staff engaging and 'professional '. Did put in a formal complaint to duty manager who is passing it on to general manager.
