What you can expect

Enjoy a guided tour of Jerez de la Frontera, the most important city in the Cadiz province, home to Spain's legendary sherry production, and notable for its historical and artistic heritage.

Meet your guide in the Plaza del Arenal and set off to explore the area of San Miguel, with its stunning Gothic church and typical architecture. Discover a rich mix of Islamic and Christian monuments surrounding the Alcázar, and admire the Gothic, Baroque, and Neoclassical façades of the cathedral.

Learn about the mysterious Tartessians, attributed as the first settlers of the area. Journey through the times of the Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths and Moors, and learn how each left a deep cultural impression on Jerez.

Marvel at the decorative squares and palaces, including the site of the old Town Hall, and go to the Church of San Dionisio, the only Mudejar church in town.

Our guide Rose was engaging and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of Jerez & Andalucía, it has really enhanced the rest of our trip here. She also graciously answered all of our random questions. Our tour ended at a turning 100 this year Tabanco where we tasted some sherry and watched a flamenco show. Highly recommend!

We paid, travelled to Jerez from Seville and our tour guide was a no show. We phoned them and they said that they hadn’t received a booking from GetYourGuide. We think we were missold this tour as, on checking when in Jerez, the Alcazar closes at 14.30 in the winter months. We had booked for 16.00! Be careful folks. This is our second poor experience with GetYourGuide,
