Eric's house was perfect for a long weekend stay with my sister's family and a few dogs. We were immediately impressed with the vibe of the house–cozy, spacious, and stylish–and we loved how much the home had to offer for all ages: board games, musical instruments, sports equipment. The location is great, just down the street from an upscale grocery (cheaper options are available in the next town over); 10-15 minute drive to state parks, restaurants, the local speedway, a skate park, vineyards and breweries. The street is pretty quiet. It's down the road from the fire station and an alarm would sound every once-and-a-while, but otherwise the neighbors are quiet and traffic is minimal. There were a few minor things we wish the house had: an instruction manual; the main bedroom door doesn't latch, and the blackout curtains are somewhat undermined by the bathroom's barn door which allows light to pass through; there wasn't a microwave; noise travels pretty well through the house. But otherwise everything was great and the owner was very quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely rent again, maybe during the summer so we could check out local swimming areas and take advantage of summer activities.
