Waited for 45 minutes for the shuttle after dropping my car at the airport to stay at this Hilton Garden overnight for an early flight. Called again and was told, "sorry. He's sitting right here. I don't know why he didn't pick you up. I'll send him now." 15 minutes later the shuttle arrived. Fortunately for me the traffic folks at the airport graciously told me to wait inside and that they'd let me know when the shuttle arrived so I wasn't standing outside in single digit degrees. Upon checking in there was no one at the desk. I did see a person smoking outside within clear view of the front desk but assumed it was a guest. 5 minutes later she finished her smoke and reeking of smoke then told me in barely understandable english that she was sorry for the wait. Checked me in, booked me on the 4AM shuttle and up to my room I went. The hallway carpet should have been replaced years ago. There were cardboard boxes laying about in the hallway near the staff door. The room itself was clean, much to my relief. I'd specifically booked this hotel because it had a restaurant. When I went downstairs the barmaid told me that the restaurant was closed that night so I ordered from a greek delivery that was excellent and ate in my room. I could hear the guests in the room above stomping about and the staff talking loudly to one another in Vietnamese in the hallway through my door. Fortunately by 9 the sounds abated so I was able to get a few hours of shut eye before my 20 hour travel day
