Such a cute place to stay in the city of Alpine. We were about 2 hours from Big Bend National Park, and overall had a great time. The only downside is there is no shower. I thought there was a shower from the pictures, but only bathtub and outdoor shower (which was not hooked up) We made do with the tub and everything else was great. We werenât able to see the stars because of the cloudy weather :( But made the best of our time here.
We stayed here for my 50th, we came all the way from the UK. I was utterly blow away not just for place bit the tiny detail in everything they have there, its trully what dreams are made from, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was perfect, from the amazing communications to the stay !!! I would recomment to anyone, for an experience out of this world!!!
We loved our stay in the yurt. My kids 6 and 10 enjoyed making s'mores and stargazing at night. It was so comfortable after a long day of hiking at Big Bend. We came during a cold spell in April and were impressed by the heat in the yurt. It was a unique experience and we would stay here again. Communication with the host was easy and her replies were prompt. The yurt was clean and decorated so well.
My family loves to stay in yurts, and we absolutely fell in love with this one! The kids loved the loft bed, the decor is super cute, and we wish we could've stayed longer.
Canât say enough good things about staying here. Communication before, during, and after our stay was exemplary in every way. Very spacious and beautiful accommodations with too many thoughtful amenities to list. I was traveling with my 10-year old grandson and he was as enchanted with this yurt as I was (especially the loft and the bathtub). There were absolutely no problems or negatives with staying at this property, only pleasure. Alpine itself is a large-ish town but we found that some places werenât open when we were here in February, be prepared to be flexible and heed your hostâs advice on bringing some food supplies with you if that kind of thing matters to to you or if you have small children. My grandson and I visited Big Bend, Marfa and explored Alpine from here. If you want a fun, luxurious stay that has all the amenities of home, you wonât be disappointed here!
This was such a comfortable and cool place to stay that Iâve already recommended it to several friends planning trips to the area. My husband liked it so much he said he would def have one on some land. (!)
Our family of five checked in New Yearâs Eve and enjoyed our visit! The location between the National parks was why we chose Alpine. Gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores made it easy for us to have what we needed even during the holidays. The kids loved the sleeping arrangements, especially the loft. Our teenager liked the bath, and the hostâs little touches made it extra special and cozy. Check in and checkout were easy, and having heat on a chilly night to warm up after stargazing added comfort to an experience we will never forget!
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Estrella! This was the cutest yurt with great decor and furnishings. We had everything we needed and there was so much space. The design and layout was perfect. It was close enough to downtown yet you felt secluded which was exactly what we wanted.
I was blown away by this yurt! I stayed in another property on the site and saw the yurts but truly had no idea how amazing it was inside! It was absolutely spectacular! I had everything I needed, the nights were beautiful and quiet. The stars were amazing and the weather was cool in the mornings and nights, exactly what I head out for!
The host was very communicative, and I ended up leaving something at the first house, and she kindly returned it and placed it in the yurt for my second stay.
Highly recommend this home, and this post!
Property was GREAT! SUPER cute, cozy and well supplied! Location surroundings and directions to the property via GPS was the only drawback. Still, we felt safe and it was perfect for what we needed. Owner was great to communicate with.
This is our second time staying at this property. My husband and i stayed here in 2023 and loved it so much, we returned with our kids. Our kids absolutely LOVED it and didn't want to leave! We will definitely return again when we are in the area.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cerca del Cielo! Everything we needed was provided, and the place is even more charming than it looks on the pictures. It was nice to be nearby Alpine, which had everything we needed, but the neighborhood was quiet and we felt like we were away from it all. The loft was perfect for our kids, and we slept very well in the queen size bed. Our only regret was that we didn't get to spend more time there!
The Yurt was a vibe! We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The only suggestion Is to add privacy blinds because at night you can see inside the yurt if your lights on with the current blinds. And warning if you bring dogs that there are stickers all throughout the grass area. Thank you for our stay and good customer service.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay, my partner and I wanted somewhere other than a hotel to stay for our visit to big bend, and we were amazed by how clean and cute the property was and how communicative and helpful the owner was. Provided local recommendations, extra accommodations, and quick replies if we needed anything else! Weâd love to stay again!
We stayed for one night only, but everything was exceptional. My son loved the place and wants to come back. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The night got chilly, but heating was adequate. The host was very helpful and friendly on text before and during our stay. She even recommended places to eat and they were great! I would definitely recommend staying here.
The property is very nice, cozy, and inviting. There was plenty of room for the three of us to rattle around in. The decor is lovely, and the view was very nice. It is clean and comfortable.
We did think it was a little more removed from town than it is. It's actually less than a mile out of downtown and in the middle of a residential area complete with all the ambient noise associated with close proximity (dogs, cars, trains, etc.)
We still had a nice time and we're able to get in a night of stargazing. We made s'mores and roasted hotdogs, and the kid said it was a good birthday stargazing adventure.
I would absolutely recommend it if you're looking for something close to town for nice little getaway and aren't too bothered by noise.
Also, believe her when she tells you to bring slippers. My kid only forgot to put his on once. đč
We went to Alpine to visit our oldest daughter for Thanksgiving and stayed at this property. Had a great time and really enjoyed the stay. It was a very unique experience.
