Family getaway
The home was beautiful with a beautiful view. Across the street from a stunning lake and lots of great hiking. Although not a lot in Angel Fire it’s a quick beautiful drive over to Red River for more activities! House feels remote but is close to everything you need. It was the perfect accommodation for the four couples in my family. Would stay again!

Fantastic family home!
Our family loved the stay in this Angel Fire home. The house was roomy enough for us to all have space to spread out. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean, bathrooms well stocked with towels etc. The kids enjoyed the outdoor space and played in the huge backyard every day. We also enjoyed walking to Monte Verde lake almost every day, the trail around the lake is an easy 1 mile walk. We also rented a paddle boat and canoe, the folks at the lake were very accommodating and friendly, even lent us a couple of life jackets for our paddle board. Angel Fire was only a 5 minute drive away. We also took day trips to Santa Fe and Taos. We would definitely stay here again for any future trips to Santa Fe. Cheryl was so easy to work with and nice. Thanks for sharing this pleasant vacation home!

Beautiful newer home with a wonderful view. House was very accommodating and comfortable for us all. Only complaints are low water pressure and need better shades for the dining and living room for the evenings when the sun is coming in those windows. Really enjoyed our stay there!

We had a great time, this house is it a great size and it has all you need. It is 5 mins away from The Angel Fire Sky Resort. Cheryl, our contact for this rental, was always very helpful and a super fast answering all our inquiries. If we go back to that area, we will stay in this house again.

The property was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect amount of space for us and our friends. We really enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. We also loved soaking in the hot tub after each day of skiing. It was a little difficult getting in and out of the driveway due to weather, but the owners were very kind to provide salt for the slippery driveway. This was the perfect getaway and we would love to come back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sherwood at Angel Fire! The house was beautiful, had more than ample space for our party of 9 and was located minutes from the winter activities! Cheryl was the perfect host and answered all of our questions promptly. We look forward to going back some day very soon!!!

House was great for our family. When we could get the showers to turn on the responded was quick. We just need to pull the handle out. And the bear at the front door the last night got everyone moving, it move along without causing any trouble. Second time we have atayed at this house. Loved it both times. Liked the dinning room in the back of the house better.

Angel Fire retreat
We had a wonderful time at the Sherwood home. Especially enjoyed the hot tub, sitting by the fire pit, and playing pool in the evenings or just sitting in the living room with each other. Having a view of Mt. Wheeler was icing on the cake. We made lots of day trips around the enchanted circle as well as taking in a few hikes. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Our group was only 3 adults and we mostly searched for a home with two bedrooms and baths on the main floor as we had an elderly person who cannot do stairs. The house is a little older but a nice play to stay. We had a couple of incidents but the manager handled them quickly. Would be a great place for a large group with kids!

We loved the location. There was plenty of space for two families with children, an aunt and grandparent. Our host was responsive to our questions. Our only issue was a temperamental hot water heater that would stop heating in the middle of a shower occasionally. The host said a replacement was on order. Overall we really enjoyed the place and amenities.

Loved this property. We stayed 10 days and cooked our meals there most of the time. It had everything we needed. It was nice having the lake opposite the property for walks. Lots of beds for a big family stay, although there was only 4 of us. We needed 2 bedrooms with individual bathrooms on the main level, which this property offered. The property managers were great and responsive to help fix an outside door that wouldn't open. Recommend this property.

What a wonderful getaway
Our stay was lovely, beautiful property, super clean, super fun, super peaceful. property manager was amazing and super helpful. We all enjoyed our stay so much. Made great family moments. Awesome place to make memories!
With 3 families spanning 3 generations, we always look for a home with a variety of activities and diverse spaces for spending time together and getting privacy when needed. This home has it all. We had everything we needed for food prep in the kitchen (there is even an extra fridge in garage!) and celebrated our oldest family member’s 90th birthday in the spacious dining area. Kids and parents spent the days playing in the snow, sledding down the hill in the back yard, and playing games. The theater room allowed movie watching downstairs and quiet time with the baby upstairs, birdwatching on the deck, and enjoying the gorgeous views all at the same time. The hot tub, pool table, and ping pong table provided added enjoyment. The 4 bedrooms plus bunk room, all with super comfy beds and bedding, and theater room gave everyone flexibility for different bedtimes.. The beds were super comfy and the home was fully equipped with everything you can imagine. Our host was highly responsive to questions and checked in with us before, during, and after our stay. We could not have been happier with this warm and well-designed home. We highly recommend Sherwood for families and groups of friends!
