The property itself is nice and just what we needed for the price point. We had a bit of a situation as we were coming from far away we didn’t make it to the first night of our booking. I called in advance to ensure they were aware of our absence and the kind worker I spoke to suggested we ask to talk to a manager about a refund. When we arrived the next day around 12, we were at the front desk about to check in and the employee there was quick to cut us off that they were full before we explained we already had a booking, a bit rude. After that our check in went okay and I asked about talking to a manager as we missed our first night, the girl didn’t know much and said the manager wasn’t there so we decided to come back later. Later that night I spoke to a very kind employee named Mia who I spoke to on the phone the night prior. She told me to speak with expedia and get the refund approved by the hotel and go from there. I did so and I was told my refund was rejected by the hotel. I then went back to speak with Mia again and she told me that her manager rejected our refund. Mia was the only helpful person in this situation. I appreciate hotels have policies and missing the first night of our booking due to last minute personal reasons is technically our own fault but I thought there would be some better customer service provided given we physically never made it to that night of the booking. Otherwise the hotel was still great in every other aspect
