Winter getaway in Burk's Falls

Very nicely appointed property, true to the listing. Had to communicate a few times with the owner & he,was always very prompt getting back to us. Absolutely gorgeous property. We had a few snowfalls during our week long stay & it was like a winter wonderland. We would recommend remiving the single bed in the main floor bedrm in favour of a dresser & hooks on the walls in the bedrooms, as the closets are locked with the owner's personal items & so couldn't unpack & had to luce out of our suitcases. A few more hooks out on the deck by the hottub would also be useful for towels. Overall, a terrific property & we would defintely stay here again.

ATV weekend

Everything looked great online. When we got there we were a little bit disappointed and felt a bit blind sided as the owner lived in the basement of the cottage as well as had a dog that was friendly but also had a lot of energy that didn’t mix well. There wasn’t as many trails around as we had hoped and were under the impression of. The owner was so friendly and he was very helpful but not necessary what we were hoping for

Great Experience!

I very much loved this cabin and we do plan to return. It was quiet and peaceful and the private hiking trail was a nice relaxing walk. The hot tub made for excellent viewing of the Northern Lights.

Weekend Wedding Stay

We needed a place to stay with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for a nearby wedding. This property looked perfect from the ad and did not disappoint when we arrived. The check-in was simple and the property clean and well equipped. The place definitely has a cottage feel (which is what we were looking for) but had all the comforts you'd want. There is a very large covered deck with a hot tub, fire table and a small sauna as well as a BBQ, hammock and nice swing chairs. Unfortunately we had unseasonably poor weather while we were there (rain and cold) so we didn't have the opportunity to use the outdoor facilities but everything looked in good shape and I'm sure would be great on a nice, dry day. Fortunately they had a fun electronic tabletop game that we enjoyed playing things like Yahtzee, Operation and Trivial Pursuit for lots of laughs over a bottle or two of wine. Not tons of indoor seating if you have a larger party that gets stuck inside due to bad weather and the driveway in might be interesting on a snowy day, but it worked perfectly for what we needed it for.

Quiet getaway in the woods

Beautiful home style cottage with all luxuries of home ( hot tub, sauna, BBQ, AC, TV, Comfort) trails to walk, small winding river to canoe / kayak. Few other cozy rentals on the property ( mini house, tree house, trailer) but you each have your own space. For us it was a central location for our many adventures! But still found time to enjoy the cottage in the woods as well

Amazing Summer Getaway

We came here in August for a few days with four young children, and we all had a great time! The cottage had so many thoughtful extras (hot tub, sauna, fire table, Infinity games table, kayak etc.) which made our stay so exciting! We made wonderful memories at this cottage. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Quick cottage country getaway

The property was lovely, lots of places to explore & enjoy. The cottage was clean with good amenities. The owner was very nice and provided us with fresh eggs from the chickens who lived on the property! The listing on VRBO did not mention that the property had multiple cottages for rent and that the owner lived on site. Not an issue at all, but would have been good to know.

Perfect Creekside experience

Incredible Riverside Winter Wonderland!!

What can we say about this getaway, other than it totally exceeded all of our expectations! Not only are Anguel and Brista some of the nicest and most accomadating hosts, but their place is spectacular! The property really is so peaceful and beautiful. We were fortunite enough to have quite the snowfall during our visit, about 14 inches of snow. We were all very entertained by the infinity table and pinball machine, super relaxed from the hottub, and loved how comfortable the couch and beds were. We will definitely be back next year, and highly encourage others to check it out !

Everything was as nice as it seemed. It was a great stay. I would've liked instructions to using the many features of the place, i know the owner is very responsive and probably would've helped if I'd asked, but i didn't want to ask. Lovely place.

Relaxing and beautiful

We had a wonderful weekend of relaxation and rest. The property is quiet, the forest is beautiful, the river is relaxing, and the "cabin" is fully functional and comfortable. It was perfect for my husband and I, but we could have easily brought the whole family.

Snow-Covered Pine Tree Retreat with Beautiful River View (and my whole family)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Timber Frame Cottage, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The cottage was surrounded by tall, beautiful pine trees covered in snow, which made it feel like a true winter wonderland. One of the best features of the cottage was the stunning view of the river, which was visible from the porch. Every morning, I woke up to the peaceful sound of the flowing water and the breathtaking vista of the snow-covered landscape. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. I was also thrilled to be able to bring my whole family, including my wife, my 17-year-old daughter, my dog, and my little kitten, on this trip. The cottage was spacious enough to accommodate all of us comfortably, and the owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating to our furry friends. Overall, I highly recommend this space for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy some quality time in nature with their loved ones. The beautiful views, cozy atmosphere, and warm hospitality make it a truly special place to stay.

Escape to secluded cabin

A wonderful getaway! The cabin was surrounded by a beautiful walking trail and creek. The cabin was clean and cozy; the kitchen was well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. I highly recommend it as a family and friends getaway. Angel was very responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner.
