Poor maintenance

All though the hotel staff was friendly and it was fairly clean, I can’t recommend it. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable and worn out. The room temperature stayed hot even after we set it for 66! The wallpaper was pealing and the shower enclosure was worn!!

HVAC and plumbing were terrible. Shower temperature could not be controlled and was scalding hot. Couldn’t even shower safely. HVAC was uncontrollable. If you turned on the heat and set at any temperature it blasted heat uncontrollably. We set it at 63 and had to turn it off when it went up to 71. We liked everything else but would question staying here again.

Conference Weekend

We stay every year when we have a conference. It’s close & walkable to restaurants around the ballpark. Staff is wonderful, rooms are nice (king suite). You can tell the hotel is starting to show its age, but they work hard at keeping it up.

Great hotel. Not fancy but very clean, updated and comfortable and you can’t beat the location. Easy to walk to thing sin the Battery. We also enjoyed the breakfast. We’d gone out to get something in the battery and everything was closed due to weather and the hotel was able to easily accommodate 6 of us for a nice breakfast buffet. Will definitely stay here again.
