The property is old and raggedy, needs major improvements and rennovation, luckyly those renovations were underway, soon the hotel will have much nicer facilities.

I understand The motel is cheap. But the lack of maintenance is incredible, everything is unfinished, Brocken, dirty. The conditions are horrible. I guess I learned something about La Quinta with this miss-guidance. Tv didn’t work, the whole room smelled like vomit. There was also a party of teenagers next to my room, opening/closing, nocking the door so loud. Unpleasant place to stay a night to relax after a long day of visiting family in Austin. Never again will expend my money in La Quinta, and I hope this feedback prevent from people going to a place that pictures they uploaded in their website are not accurate at all. Las thing, I saw a cockroach. That’s how clean the place is. Not worth it!

The property looked like s***. The woman at the front desk kept deactivating our card. A group of young teenagers tried to break into our room and when we went to complain she said “I’ve had a busy night so I’m sorry this experience inconvenienced you but we all have stuff going on”. Mold in the bathrooms. Trash left in the rooms and under the beds. Worst hotel experience ever.

I recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Austin Capitol / Downtown, and I was beyond disappointed with the condition of the hotel. Right away, I noticed how filthy and dirty the place was. It didn’t take long before I spotted cockroaches some alive and some dead. They were both inside and outside the room. It was absolutely disgusting and left me questioning the cleanliness of the entire property. The state of the hotel made it clear that proper maintenance and cleaning protocols are not being followed. For a hotel located in downtown Austin, you’d think they’d prioritize cleanliness and guest comfort, but that was clearly not the case here. I would not recommend staying here unless they take serious action to address these issues. Pest control and a major overhaul in cleanliness are desperately needed. Until then, I would advise looking elsewhere for a place to stay.

Very noisy, inside and out. No sleep at all. No insulation between walls. People above could be heard urinating and flushing like that were in same room at 1 am. Garbage trucks at 3 am. Lots of slamming doors and squeaking beds overhead. No hot water also.

Good for one night
Comfortable bed and great water pressure. Paid $50 for "valet" parking (not like this was a huge place)plus tax and fee $62. Outdated but comfortable enough for a night stay. Walls are thin, could here room next door talking and lady crying 1:45am...not good. Outside it tremendously outdated and outer walls are cracked and coming apart. Needs major repairs.

The room and workout area were both in a deplorable state. The workout area, in particular, had noticeable spiders, spider webs, and even cockroaches, which gave the impression that it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. The overall cleanliness of both spaces was far below acceptable standards. Additionally, the photos on the website were misleading and did not accurately reflect the condition of the facilities we encountered during our stay. This discrepancy between the advertised images and the reality of the property was very disappointing and not what we had expected.
