Great value stay

We enjoyed our stay at the George. Highlights were the staff, quality of breakfast and value for money. Our room was a little noisy due to traffic, which would be the only downside to our stay.

The hotel sits in a traffic island surrounded by narrow, busy roads on all sides which makes it tricky to access at times. I expected it to be noisy as it is a pub as well as a hotel but it was OK. There was a lot of seagull noise - they do not seem to sleep at night. Overall, it was a fairly good experience.

Great Place!

Really friendly staff who really go the extra mile to help out and make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere in the bar and the rooms are spotless. This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at the George and I’ll definitely be back!

Check in was quick and efficient. Liked the ability to enter/ exit from our own hotel backdoor and not have to go through the bar area. A little bit noisy but it's in the center of town and my room was above the beer garden area. No lift, I was on the top floor. Might be a deal breaker for some.
