The location was gorgeous--up a steep but sturdy LONG staircase from the lake. We went mostly to be on the water. My husband rented a boat from a nearby resort and we were allowed to tie it up to our dock and keep it for the days we were there. NOTE: The dock system is NOT complete and tying up there was NOT easy, but we figured out a way. We rented a canoe from the same resort and also kept it there--there was a nice (very) little sandy beach to beach it on. Good point for all water activities: Sand, not rocks, and also not many weeds. The fishing was great, which was the main activity we were interested in.
As far as the house goes, it was older and could use some sprucing up, but it was clean. No wifi, but we were told that in the listing. Beds were comfortable; couches and futon were not. We were a party of 8, which is the capacity of the house. Please be aware that all of the pots and pans were small. If you are a larger party, you would do well to bring some larger pots. We had to make macaroni in two shifts because there was not a large enough pot. We were also unable to get the toaster to work.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the house was very adequate for our needs. Might or might not stay again.
