We were lucky to find this house on short notice! This was our 4th get-away stay in Bandera. We enjoyed our stay despite a few issues.
It’s a cute house, well appointed, and it sits about 100 feet from the lake. However, during our stay in April the lake was nearly dry. The house location is far enough behind a RV park and tiny subdivision that you hear no other noise from houses. Margaret is a concerned owner; She called us the day before and every day during our stay. Location is peaceful and quiet. Upon throwing corn out on the lawn, you’re steps away from deer grazing in the evening, a delight!
PRO’s: cute house w A/C, ADT alarm, complete kitchen, bath with washer and dryer, large bedroom, outside grill w charcoal. Location Peaceful and secluded.
Con’s: the house had a musty smell first day especially in front room because all windows were nailed shut. Fridge contained Used food products that needed to be disregarded, toaster required cleaning to be used.
Distance from OST, 11st Cowboy Saloon was just under 2 miles away,
Grill was filthy, smoke detector was inoperative, new battery for it laptop refrigerator. ADT alarm beaped every time one opened the door. Never found hiking trails described by owner; neighbors indicated they didn’t exist. In future, we would secure a location with Wi-Fi.
