This place is 33 minutes away from the airport because of traffic and construction. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a place close to the airport.

Nice pool, but the room was a bit shabby and the staff seemed overwhelmed. There was one restaurant open when I arrived at 9pm, the staff were really busy and no other options nearby. It’s also at least a 25 minute drive from the airport, they do have a free shuttle but it only runs at certain times and traffic was insane at 6am. Fine for overnight before a flight home, but glad I wasn’t staying longer.

Big place

There is long term heavy road construction between the hotel and airport causing slow going. The traditional architecture of the Thai Restaurant on the property is really nice. I was surprised how large the hotel property was. Plenty of walkways.

airport transfer very useful, it is a fair distance and can sometimes take 45mins to travel short distance. Grand hotel and big. Breakfast has good variety. Beds are comfy. Restaurant offsite are very affordable and tasty. It can get very busy with large tour buses arriving. Staff remained calm and helpful. Not really a place to experience the culture - but great place before or after a long flight

This resort is quite lovely, but our first night there was not a good experience at Chada Restaurant. No white wine (for a resort this size???). They said the overhead fans were broken..........but amazingly they started working 1/2 hour later............they said they ran out of lasagna.........it was only around 6:00 pm and only a couple tables there at that time........the pizza my husband had was awful. Not cooked very well, and the toppings were barely visable. The staff was not helpful or willing to explain or deal with anything. We ate both lunch and dinner the next day at Karaked Thai restaurant on site. The staff was fabulous! The attention to detail was fabulous! They had both red and white wine!!!! The food was fabulous!!! Our corner room was great and we loved the canal view. The front desk staff were amazing, and the maintenance person (that rescued a baby bird on our deck) was excellent & quick to come when we called. The pool bar bartender was great & really helpful. The actual pool is lovely, however it is shallow, and therefore quite warm. Not refreshing.

Smelly Hotel in a Smelly Area

This area of Bangkok smells! The hotel smelt really bad, it is old and run down. They cleaned it as well as they could, but the entire hotel smelt of sewage. I booked a spot on the shuttle for the time I required pick up at the airport, and when I got there, they had filled that shuttle and said I had to wait for the next one (over an hour)!! What was the point in reserving a spot? The restaurant was okay. The service by the staff was excellent.
