The home is so unique in its design with a loft fit for Heidi, an old childrenâs book written by Spyri. The grandsons were immediately drawn to the loft, and the childrenâs furniture enhances its intrigue. Two bedrooms and baths downstairs provide excellent creature comfort for the adults and the great room encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room with the massive stone fireplace provides a warm and perfect environment for socializing. The landscape outdoors with the fire pit surrounded by moss covered boulders was another great amenity. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Not at all what we expected based on the pictures online. We drove up to the property and first things we noticed was how I ergrownthe area was especially around the fire pit. We walked along the porch area that desperately needs a cleaning and some repairs to the front door. We opened the door to a very dingy, dim lighted home. There were crumbs on the coffee table, the ceiling fan light didn't work, so we were practically in the dark. The master bedroom mattress needs replacing as it sinks in the middle. The hall shower head had broken pieces and doesn't work. The hot tub cover had not been cleaned. We booked the property for 3 nights and stayed only for one night. We repeatedly asked for a partial refund we opened the lid to a funky smell. they have our money so what do they careell, not inviting at alltub
Great location, just barely adequate kitchen to cook food. Plan on eating out. The grill was out of propane, the hot tub was cold and the coffee makerâs glass carafe was broken into a dozen pieces. I communicated these issues to Vacasa the day we arrived and three days later , when we left, nothing was fixed. Vacasa was responsive but it was all lip service. They had our money so what do they really care.
The only real solution they had was for me to go find a propane tank and submit a receipt for reimbursement. Thatâs unacceptable considering we drove past the local office to get to our property.
The best thing the owners could do is remove this property from Vacasa and manage it themselves.
This house smelled so badly like litter box or feces. My husband had a pretty bad allergic reaction. He had difficulty breathing while staying in the living room so he stayed in the bedroom constantly. They kept telling us someone would come and deep clean the place but that didnât happen. Vacasa said the local team would be contacting us but that didnât happen either. We were denied to switch to a different place because this was apparently the first time someone complained. Well that wasnât true. The roll out bed had a huge stain, so my daughter couldnât even sleep on it. We kept asking every day to come and clean but that didnât happen. We had to leave a day earlier because my husband had difficulty breathing in this place. And we received no refund. All they gave us was 50% back from the cleaning fee. What a joke! Not a good customer service and wonât be renting anything with Vacasa.
The house was just as described. It was enough room for our family of 5, close enough to everything we wanted to do, & hot tub was great! The only issues, which were not deal breakers & Iâd still stay again, were the fact the the loft is super hot for whoever stays up there and the smell of sewage. I assume it is coming from the garage disposal. We bought a candle and some febreeze spray and it was fine. We would definitely stay here again!
Pros: This cabin was really close to the ski slopes. The fireplace was great to come back to after a cold day on the mountain. Some of the reviews said the beds were hard, but we thought they were comfortable. We got lucky and had snow one morning, which was beautiful. Would definitely rent this place again.
The only issue we had was there was an odd smell for two out of our three days.
No lights on when we arrived. The steps were completely in the dark the beds were worse than camping cots. The tv had multiple remotes we ended up watching tv in my room on the uncomfortable beds. The Jettâs in the hot tub did not work and my bed had a Hugh blue stain in the middle of the bed cover
Nice stay-would definitely stay again
Road up to cabin is gravel, steep and winding
It rained and we were not able to use the fire pit or hot tub
Cabin was well stocked but wish the remotes wouldâve been labeled
One of the beds is very squeaky
One of the beds is very creeky but comfortable
We came for the Land of Oz event. This cabin is super close to the ski resort. The hot tub was in perfect working condition. Kitchen and bathroom was greatly equipped. Loved every minute. Thank you!
The dome treehouse is so cute! The only thing i would change is to clean up the outside, make the fire pit lights work, and buy new furniture for the living room as both couches are broken. It's been mentioned in multiple reviews and hasnt been addressed. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay, we went to a concert (Amos Lee), and enjoyed our 2 night get away. We would stay again as the things that need updating don't make or break a place, but it would be nice to have some weedeating, trash picked up, and just overall clean up as mentioned above.
Area restaurants are excellent. Home needs more updated lighting inside, but is clean With most anything you need for your stay. Most disappointed with all the extra fees we had to pay including a fee for the hot tub even though we weren't in it during our stay because of daily rainfall
Great location, super close to the slopes. The house was so cute and i loved all the windows looking into the forest and the rocks. So pretty. The house had everything we needed. The beds were cozy as well. The hot tin wasnât as warm as Iâd have liked. It was 96 one night and 98 another night. Kind of chilly when itâs 12 degrees outside. Other then that the house was awesome!
We were extremely dissapointed with this house. This is our 5th year to Beech....a hot tub is a must after a long day of skiing, it was lukewarm at best, we couldn't even use it. Next, not a single heater except for the one over the door worked :( and our last day was -3 with the windchill. The master bathroom shower is so ridiculously small I could barely turn around in it (I'm 5'2, 105lbs). Finally, the couches are destroyed. The back of one literally falls OFF if you try and recline it and the other one is so destroyed inside its so uncomfortable to sit on.
pros: Hot tub and location are positives. It was amazing since we got to view deer while in the hot tub. If you watched The Lion King as a child, upstairs brings back memories. I cannot criticize the location because it was so near to the slopes. Even at night, we felt secure.
cons: There was dog hair all throughout, so I had to clean up the place before I felt at ease to relax. The shower curtains in the master bedroom had mold, which is disgusting. When we got there, the sofas needed to be replaced since they were broken. There isn't any heat in the bedrooms unless you keep the doors open, although to be honest, we occasionally got warm from the living room's central heating.
All in all, I think this place would work for younger groups but not older people.
Everything at the house was great it did what we needed it to do and enjoyed the comfy mountain feel
We had a great time even though we didnât spend to much time in the house other then sleeping as we spent most of the time exploring the area. The house was very cozy with how cold it was outside.
We had issues with the fireplace as many others from their reviews. There were issues with one of the heaters in the unit, and the grill had so much grease at the bottom that it caught on fire
Pro's: Cabin was clean with a comfortable bed.
Con's: Cabin was 40 degrees inside when we arrived. It took several hrs to warm up with only wall heaters. Fireplace did not work. Hot tub was not covered and had no privacy. There were no pictures disclosing this in the listing.
We drove 6.5 hrs to enjoy a Fireplace and Hot tub. I would not have rented if I had know the hot tub wasn't covered and had no privacy. We stayed in the cabin 10 hrs and drove back home.
I would not recommend renting this cabin. I would stay at another Vacasa managed property again. Vacasa did attempt to make things right.
