The apartment was fine but not exactly what we expected. It’s mostly a hallway, with the 3 bedrooms off of the hallway, the kitchen in a separate room, and the living/dining room in yet another separate room. We found it hard to be in a communal spot given how separate everything was. There was a stash of extra sheets (top sheets didn’t come on the beds) and towels, including a few kitchen towels, in the drawers under the master bed. Lots of opportunity in all the bedrooms for better lighting, color or art on the walls, hooks on the walls for towels, etc. One room was so dimly lit that our 11yo wouldn’t sleep in it! And the 16yo complained about the three flights of stairs. Sigh. The host was wonderful and super response, so all the stars for that! And the place was clean and in a great spot in the Eixample part of Barcelona, so stars for those important aspects. We liked grocery shopping at the Mercadona a block away. Bring your own bags- there’s a supply to borrow at the apartment. Gigi von Tapas was a fun, upscale tapas spot a block away. The kids, and we, loved Black Lab Brewing, near the beach. Cool twists on American burgers and more, and all the beers were great!
