The hotel is going through renovations, so not a good time to stay until it’s completed. The Staff does try and help; however, not worth wasting your money, in my opinion. Loud construction noises whole day, a lot of services are not functional, no room service, limited restaurant service. Location is 1hr by public transport from city centre and most attractions.

The property was undergoing total renovations when i stayed. Reception was literally a building site with extensive works going on around you while you check in. I should have had a hard hat on. However the staff were outstanding, a credit to the hotel. The room was excellent with comfortable bed, large shower and huge tv. I would happily stay again even with the building work

Our room was updated and clean. The hotel was doing some construction so the elevator to the parking garage was not functioning. It was located in a pretty good spot.

Doing construction- actual construction zone Wires hanging, dusty, painters tape in our room still,under the beds and windows covered in dust. Staff offered little to appease our concerns. Gym closed. No notification of work being done. Left after one night.

Birthday special with family and friends.
It was lovely and the staff were fantastic. Only thing is, when I booked, nobody mentioned there would be renovations happening. A pity as when I stayed previously it was lovely as well. I do get the renovation but please let people know before they book. Otherwise it is great and easy access to transport links and a few cafes in the area. My daughter had a great birthday few days. Thank you.

Undercover Ibis Style hotel
I chose this place because Novotel is known for its excellent hospitality. However, I discovered that it is currently transitioning from an Ibis Styles to a Novotel, and there were ongoing renovations. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell in the hallways, lobby, and lift. The photos on Hotels.com didn’t accurately represent the current state of the hotel, and the breakfast didn’t match the pictures either. On a positive note, the reception staff were very nice, and the cleaning staff were super friendly and helpful. I hope the hotel completes its transformation into a true Novotel soon.

Undercover Ibis Style hotel
I booked this place as it was a ‘Novotel’ who are known for good hospitality. This was an undercover Ibis Styles hotel turning into a Novotel. There was still ongoing works and a disgusting smell in the hallways and lobby and lift. The hotels.com pictures are fake. The breakfast does not look like that at all. The staff at reception were nice. The cleaning staff were super friendly and helpful I hope this does become a real Novotel soon.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. I booked this hotel because it had a pool and a 4 star rating, but we went there mid-June and the pool was closed. The room had one double bed and 2 single beds crammed in with hardly any space to move. The soap and shampoo in the bathroom (from the brand 'Rituals') was watered down so much that it had lost all smell and didn't lather at all. The room only had one socket and a TV USB port to charge all our phones. There was some ongoing construction at the property so every morning we were woken up between 7.30-8am by loud hammering and drilling. If the hotel knew there was construction on the 1st floor (where we were staying), why didn't they allocate us a room on another floor or at least let us know beforehand? The only positive was the tram station at a walkable distance and a supermarket nearby. They also had a decent breakfast spread.

We enjoyed our stay here although it was quite far from all there is to see in Barcelona. You can walk to the train though, about 10 minutes away. Taking a taxi to the center will cost you between 20-30 Euros depending on the traffic.

We found this hotel as it was the cheapest in Barcelona at that time but also it was a bit far from the center but it was ok, it’s very well connected so it’s not a problem. The hotel itself it’s very basic and very old, our room was quite small and you can clearly see it needed some maintenance and upgrading. Didn’t have very much interaction with the staff but they seemed all nice. Overall the hotel is clean and in a quiet area so it’s good if you’re looking to spend a few day in Barcelona and don’t spend a lot of money.
